Tacos El Zarape reviews
18Unfortunately I don't have anything really good to say about the food. They're so called salsa is water and maybe some chili not sure. No flavor in the food or hot sauce at all. The best thing was the server she was nice. I couldn't believe how much I paid for that! I dont like to be disrespectful but. Just straight up not good.
First time there and I was absolutely amazed by how good the food and service was! The waitress was so friendly and cute!
Food left a lot to be desired. I'm not sure why the carnitas tasted like cloves and the salsa was watered down.
Friendly staff and great food. Highly recommend the Carnitas. Clean environment and owner appearance and welcome was great
Ordered 2 Americanos and the Gouda bacon sandwich where the coffee was right, but I only received 1 sandwich. Plus, there were too many officers sitting there on the hard-working people's dime.
Ordered the chicken burrito with beans and rice.
Pros:
- close to truck stop
- clean and plenty of indoor seating
- outdoor seating area
- grapefruit soda in fridge is really good
- accept cash or debit
Cons:
- burrito pretty dry and not very flavorful
- kinda pricey for what you get
- tables are next to kitchen and its loud in there, (couldn't even hear myself think about this nasty food)
- customer service not so well
Overall I should have ordered something else.now I know why it was empty inside.
The carne asada was good! Nice and taste.also the green salsa that comes with it is flame.came here couple times when we're passing thru Oregon to get to Boise. Fair price as well.
Food looked like a dog puked it up. Margaritas had no alcohol n it. And the owner made us pay for it anyways. Will never visit this place again! Not to mention, had to flag someone down to even get waited on. They laid chips and nasty salsa down and disappeared!
Some of y’all have never run a restaurant and expect to be treated like royalty in a Mexican Restaurant next to a truck stop. Food was on par with some places in my home of Dallas. Service is with a smile, maybe some of y’all deserve the treatment you got.
Some places are trying learn the taco business but they not even try to their best of them the fajitas. Lately they fill up with onions and the cook oil was cold it taste nasty I not buying from them. Cattering. Trucks are even better in. Parma idaho
They’re open kinda late which is a plus. The girl behind the bar is excellent. Thats where it stops. My steak and chicken fajitas were just disgusting. 20$ waste of money. They were so overcooked and turned into leather.
It was ok have had more flavorful the chip taste like they came from a bag processed but I gave it a 2 because my husband had to ask 4 time until She brought him another drink. I know we all have moments but that many reminders ya need to take 5 regroup or something.
Love El Zarape! Have been stopping here for years! Every time I get a truck load heading thru this part of Oregon I try hard to stop for a meal. They are close to the truck stop so it's easy to get in and out. The food is always good!
It’s a ok place for a quick bite. They have a few problems like food sometimes is cold, there’s flies flying around and landing on the food. It’s pricey and the quality is not there.
The food is excellent, but don’t come if you’re in a hurry, service is slow and inattentive. We keep coming back though.
The food is actually pretty legit here. Yea the service might be a little slow but it’s a small place and it’s 1 girl who takes orders and phone orders. She is very attentive though and polite. To the comment the food sucks here well you must not know real true authentic Mexican food. Stick to your Taco Bell and Tex Mex fake American Mexican food. If you want legit Mexican food then this is the place. If I’m in the area I will definitely eat here again. The food did come out hot and fresh also.
The waitress was nice but the food was terrible. What is that thin orange juice-like substance that they call salsa. So many onions in the burritos we barely saw the meat inside. Dry and flavor free.
