Such a beautiful trail. Very slippery and narrow with ice and snow! Almost everyone had crampons or Trax of some kind. Some drops are pretty significant. Waterfall is gorgeous! Will go back in the summer.

Beautiful!
We visited the falls in January and the trail was packed snow and ice so snowshoes were necessary. The trail is narrow in spots, but navigable. Absolutely worth the hike to see the falls!

Went in mid February 2022. Microspikes recommended for icy trails, snowshoes probably discouraged due to narrow bridges. Good length hike, easy to moderate intensity, with a walk next to the river most of the way finished with a pretty waterfall.

One of my Fave Waterfalls. I go every season! Fall leaves were stunning. The path next to the water never gets old. The rock area is alot of fun climbing over-I'm older & felt like a kid!

You get bridges, rocks, roots, water features all along the way that are spectacular!

Strongly recommend visiting in February when snow is packed (wear crampons, usually icy) & the Waterfall is partially frozen!

I drove Hwy 26 to get here & it was snowing come over the mountain in October-beautiful!
Trailhead did not have snow, yet.
Drove home via the Gorge as the sun was setting. Ahhhhhhh!

Love my Oregon!

This is truly an awesome ok place to spend the day. Beautiful creek flowing lots of cool rocks the trail is very easy to navigate and quite diverse in what. Or has to offer. The falls are amazing and the curious Gorge guide book does not miss a beat with nformation

Did the 4.2 mile loop. Good workout for a old man. Easy for my son and grandson. Rewarding view of the falls.

Nice moderate short hike 1-2hrs. Amazing view to the magical waterfall. Best if starting around 6-7am, no one on the trail at that time.

I really enjoyed this beautiful hike. Most of the hike is right along the river. Tamanawas Falls is worth seeing. The waterfall is breathtaking.

This hike is deceptive - it begins with a well maintained trail along the Hood River and ends with some significant boulder scrambling and exposed trail as you approach the falls. The creek pours from above cascading over an ancient lava flow. (It is easy to get hurt on this trail - a person with a broken legs was evacuated by the local Search and Rescue squad as we were hiking into the falls). The stream and the waterfalls are very scenic.

Loved the hike, made in 40 minutes, although I walked a little fast, highly reccomend! Lovely waterfall at the end! Although does have a rocky area, not the best but didn't detour me.

Short hike, but not bored at all during the hike. 4 miles round trip. Many family hikers on trail.

The entire trail is incredibly beautiful with the waterfall at the end just being the cherry on top. Super amazing

An easy and varied hike leads to a stunning waterfall view. If you’re a bit nimble and brave, you can even hike behind the falls for an amazing view. Highly recommended!

Great and easy hike. There is one part where there is some rocks you have to climb/step up. But there is a path that goes around if the rock steps are too much of a challenge. You end up with a great view of the waterfall. There is a there and back path as well as a loop path. Worth the hike!
