Ryan was VERY knowledgeable and fun to have tattoo myself and fiance with matching tattoos. Safety oriented and worked quickly and efficiently! They worked us in as walk-ins and it was a great experience!

Couldn't be happier with the work John did. He took the reference image I had and designed a much cooler tattoo that looks great and is healing with ease. Can't recommend enough!

I've gotten 7 out of my 10 tattoos done here. Most of my work has been done by John. He's the artist I've had except for 2 maybe 3 times. His and the other tattoo artists work are amazing and worth the money. You also get life long insurance. I got a recent tattoo touched up and it was for free:)

My friends and I called in and got same day tattoos (which I totally understand can be inconvenient, but I just got some stars) and the artist they both received WAS awesome, super nice, even gave them some oil to help the tattoo heal- I had a different experience. John immediately critiqued my other tattoo and said it wasn’t done deep enough, that it would fade.
That’s a lot since his tattoo was too deep it’s got blowout and some of the stars aren’t even filled in. I’m going to have to have this retouched and I don’t even like it. He rushed through care directions, kinda just made me feel small. It was not worth 130$. I understand charging more for a same day appointment, but you’d think they would make it a nice experience and try to get them to come back. I payed 50$ for my first tattoo (which was also a same day apt) and it is WAY BETTER. Not satisfied.

I had an amazing experience here with the tattoo artist John. I came in to get my first tattoo and I was unsure of what to expect, and John carefully explained the process to me and genuinely cared about my experience as a customer. The entire process was very professional and the tattoo actually came out much better than I had imagined. I am incredibly thankful for John since this was a big (and permanent!) decision for myself and I'm beyond satisfied with the results.

I got my first tattoo and i love it its so good and the people where so good they understood what i wanted and explained after care clearly. Cant wait for them to open and get my second one:)

I had an absolutely amazing experience at this tattoo shop. Excellent and precise work plus extreme hospitality and friendliness, thanks to personable staff members. I had my brother's birthdate tattooed under my collarbone as a walk in appointment; they communicated with me clearly and openly over the phone with regard to availability, location, and cost estimate. Abraham (who answered the phone initially [and ultimately tattooed me] was just fantastic). I was accommodated in every way, ranging from being made coffee, to using the bathroom three times, to being lent a personal charger to juice up my iPhone. I would recommend this spot to anyone whether they were looking for just a quick & simple tattoo or a long term artist to build a working relationship with.

This is a hidden gem of a shop. It's in a small shopping center tucked away all unassuming but it's a great shop! I got a full sleeve from Denver over the course of a little more than a month. Denver did an awesome job for me! I couldn't really be any happier with the work and would recommend the shop to anyone looking for good quality work. I loved Denver's style personally and chose him for my particular piece but there are a range of artists working that I would imagine could handle just about anything.

I've been there to see John over my last 4 tattoo's over the last few years. He has done such an amazing job with the designs. He works with you on creating it and will be honest with the price. I am so glad I found a very knowledgeable tattoo artist and look forward to working with him again.

I came here for my first tattoo, the guy who tattooed me was very argumentative about what I wanted, he made me feel bad for speaking out on what I wanted too. Also he was rude when I asked him questions.

Went here yesterday with my best friend and got matching tattoos! It was her first one and we’ve been wanting these tattoos for years! I believe John was our tattoo guy. Funny and serious guy! Did an amazing job on both of our tattoos. Very professional too! Since these tattoos were small and easy we were in there less than an hour. HIGHLY recommend!

Today I got my first tattoo done by Rich. He is so friendly and made me comfortable explaining the procedures. He is a gem. I strongly recommend him for all. He is the best. Very transparent and make things easier. Thanks much Rich & Tattoo-42.

Never have anything negative to say about Tattoo 42. Rich is awesome; you won't find lines as clean as his anywhere in Beaverton/Hillsboro area.

I am originally from Belgium and visited Tattoo 24 today for the very 1st time and got my my arabic tattoo done by Rich. This man is freakin' awesome! The reception and kindness I was treated like was absolutely top! He also takes all the necessary time to get the tattoo just like you want it. I got a tattoo done today by Abraham and he was amazing! He listened to what I had to say and gave great advice. I definitely recommend him! I was also very impressed with the shop and the other tattooers as well. Every customer that came in while I was there left extremely happy and you could tell they had a great bond with their tattooer and were repeat customers. Thanks again Abraham for my dog paw print and heart tattoo!

Appalling. Horrendous. With out a doubt the worst service I have ever experienced. I was ignored by every artist in the shop. They all walked past me a dozen times and would not even look at my face. I waited for over an hour after I called ahead to make sure someone was available to meet with me. Terrible. All bad.

John is a great artist. I've gotten 2 tattoos from him. In both cases, I described vaguely what I wanted and he created beautiful designs for me. He won't sell you any bull, so don't expect to be coddled. He tells it like it is, which is a valuable quality in a tattoo artist (imho). Will definitely be back for more.
