Terry's Diner, Eugene OR

Every time we are in the area we stop in. Breakfast all day, friendly staff, old time memorabilia on the walls. We love it.

Whenever I'm on the road or visiting somewhere I try to find a locally owned location to eat or visit and Terry's Diner was an amazing choice for breakfast. The atmosphere is rustic, filled with antiques and the music isn't so loud that you can't hear yourself think. The breakfast food was spot on for quality and portion size for the price, if the rest of the menu follows this then cannot go wrong coming here.

The pancakes are different compared to the rest of the competition. Leaves you craving them weekly!

Service here is top notch. The wait staff is always happy and keeps your coffee hot. The decor is cool with the retro vibe. They nail the greasy spoon vibe and do it well. This place is always loaded with retirees on the weekend. To me that's the measuring stick for some good breakfast.

Friendly staff, but bad food for the price, and food took over an hour to arrive. I ordered the Santa Fe Stuffed Hashbrowns and it was a tastelessand homogenous mess filled with a full can of mushy green chilis. Couldn't even finish half of it. If you want toast or eggs it's an extra $6 on top of your already overpriced meal. Paid $26 to be severely disappointed. Wouldn't recommend.

Great food. Good prices. They came back to fill friends coffee but not my water until we were leaving. Then when we paid separately and they gave my change to my friend and her change to me.

We shared a chicken strip basket and a fish and chips basket with coleslaw. It was delish. Best tarter sauce ever.

Things have changed at this diner over the last year or so. Always live the food, but the service could use a boost. Too many customers and not enough servers, hostesses or bussers. Tough times.

We sat in the front room and it was quite cold. Everyone was wearing their jackets. Food was good with large portions.

Walked in and several staff walked past us or looked at us but didn't acknowledge us. Maybe the UCLA gear in Oregon country? Plenty of open space, so not a too busy issue. The menu has many items with Terry's special spinach. So we ordered an omelette and spinach Benedict to try it. Alas, they ran out of it. At 10am? I got the salmon Benedict, instead and it was pretty good. I asked for the home fries crisp and our server offered to put them in the fryer. OK! They came out as crunchy as pork rines which is fine with me, but were burnt. Not a place I will return to.

Bean soup excellent fish platter awful wish I would have not got greesey fryers were good onion rings shrimp fish terrible not a good choice for 18 dollar my waitress was very nice good service.

First time and definitely we are going back

Without forgetting the decoration of the place that we loved.

The staff was kind of rude for the first 10 to 15 minutes that we were there. We almost left. But they warmed up by the time we left.

This places Breakfast food is my go to! There gravy is sooo yummie. I love there bacon is really good as well but I like it crunchu so if you dont you will not care for it. I go all the time

Called this Sunday morning (10: 30) for take out, (as they advertise on their website). The girl that answered said they we’re too busy for takeout orders. I was about to ask if later on would work. Before I could even get a word out, she hung up on me. I am a long time customer. I guess when you have a lot of business you can be rude to your customers. Hope she was not the owner. Can’t wait till business slows down and sales drop. It always happens. Rudeness plays no part when running a business. I know, l own one.
