The Alibi Tiki Lounge, Portland OR

I love this place. Perfect dive tiki bar. The drinks are great but small. Stay away from Pandora's box. For 75 cents I got a paper note in a box.

It was a great place with friendly people strong drinks with a neighborhood feel to it.
Lots of good looking people that seemed to be single and ready to mingle if you can sing then you will get some because these chicks love to hear a good karaoke jam.

This is where I stop after work when it's been a rough day. The food is good and service is great. A bit spendy but it is Portland.

I loved the inside, it was like I transported to a strange island. Got to listen to Karaoke and laughed a lot. The waitresses are really fun and the one that served me a drink was signing the song that was playing

The best edamame! It was fried rather than steamed and so delicious! The pork was so tender and juicy, I highly recommend. The bartender nailed it with recommending and executing drinks. The ambiance in itself was brilliant. Soooo gonna have a tiki party there some time!

I went here for the first time for my friends birthday and the experience was absolutely awful, we came to sing karaoke and when the birthday boy went up to sing on stage he got yelled at about his mask, when he had it on and was adjusting it to start singing. The MC who was in charge of the karaoke line up cut his song then called the next people up instead of pulling him to the side and explaining the rules and regulations like an adult. She was beyond disrespectful and we felt like we were being discriminated against because we were the only brown people in that establishment. Sarah should not be in the service industry if she's going to be bitter and yell at my friends like we were children for no good reason. We won't be coming here ever again and it has everything to do with Sarah who gave trash service and treated us like we were doing something wrong when we were just trying to sing karaoke and celebrate our friends birthday. Expected more from this establishment, and quite frankly you'll only appreciate this place if you're white and/or have no personality.

It was fun and very lively didn't really like the drinks but the food was good and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely go again

The Alibi is my favorite place in Portland. I lived in Portland for only a short period of time, but I'll always remember the ambiance and the friendly vibe of The Alibi. The karaoke bar is amazing and the sound system is so awesome that it makes pretty much anybody sound like a rockstar to this day I've never come across another karaoke bar the next average Joe sound like the real deal although it's been since 2005 that I've been there it's still a happy and great memory as a matter of fact I'm thinking about taking a road trip all the way to Portland from Santa Cruz California just to go to The Alibi that's how great of a time I had and I'll never forget the place if I never make it back.

I used to think Portland was fairly progressive until tonight. My sister and her friends stopped by at the tail end of the night to use the restroom. My sister, who is obviously Hispanic, asked the bartender if she could use the restroom and she was told no, that she was too drunk. However, the bartender did allow her white friends to use the restroom, and they were on the same level as my sister. The bartender then eventually allowed my sister’s Indian friend to use the restroom, but would still not allow her to use the restroom. I am very disappointed and disgusted that this occurred. My sister was in tears, upset over this experience and I thought people should think twice before coming to this bar.

Solid Karaoke and top tier drinks. This place it lively with a variety of music and a small selection of food but great for snacking. Lines can get crazy so order a double.

Cool atmosphere inside and drinks were good. We got the Zombie which was REALLY strong (but good), and the Miami Vice which was also tasty and strong. I wasn’t a fan of the karaoke vibe (90% indie) and the lines for the bar were at least 30 min. Probably wouldn’t go back.

Fun place for karaoke! Mostly friendly staff. The drinks are O. K. The women’s restroom does not have a lock on the door?

Strong drinks, mostly rum based as is to be expected. Nice atmosphere and decor. Extremely unique interior that sets itself apart from other bars. Outdoor area isn't the best as it's on the street but the real party is inside anyways. Love to come back for food and kareoke someday!

Food is better than you think it'll be. It's dark and tiki themed as you'd expect. There's not a lot of room once it gets packed. Weekends tend to be less of a karaoke crowd and more of a bar scene crowd. For whatever that's worth.

I only ordered a salad but it was so beautiful and full of great flavor/texture dressing amazing and bartender gave recommendations for a drink that is divine!

Love the vibe and divey atmosphere. Good drinks and chill people. Able actually hang here and not feel over crowded and enjoy some kareoke too

Absolutely terrible service. Watered down drinks. It’s so sad that as so many great places go under these terrible places persist. Don’t spend your money here.

One of the oldest tiki bars in the country, this place doesn’t disappoint. Great drinks and decor, and such a cool layout. Lots to stop and look at, I really like their music selection as well. We’ll definitely be back for a karaoke night!

Came here while in town was my first time at a tiki bar so I didn't know what to expect! A lot of cool drinks on the menu. The bartender wasn't the friendliest we literally stood at the bar while she was having a conversation with someone sitting at a table top without acknowledgement.giving it 4 stars still cause the karaoke was very fun and a lot of people for a Tuesday night we enjoyed our time here! Didn't try the food but drinks were good according to my friend who had a few of those! Fun little place to come to for sure.
