The Coho Oceanfront Lodge reviews
16Love the coffee and French press in the room. Always clean and never had any issues. This is a yearly destination for my husband and my Anniversary.
This is a class act organization that goes out of their way to provide customer service above and beyond. Highly recommend.
If I could give zero stars I would. We paid for five days in a king kitchenette, fireplace and additional room with queen. We were placed right by the dog area seeing dogs poop right in front of us. Then our neighbors dogs came into our patio and tried to attack my 7 year old and mother in law, they blocked them with a camping chair and then we backed into room to close door. Hotel only warned the pet owners and did not offer a room of same quality to move to. THEN our AC wouldn’t work. They said they could move us to a downgraded room but then took that back. Then they said the AC was fried but they couldn’t get a tech out to fix it. When confronted on how they would know it was fried when they didn’t have a tech look at it they admitted they already knew and put us in a room with no AC. They did this to us and we book a week with them. They offered to comp tonight but no additional resolution given. That is not enough… we spent most of our first day dealing with unplanned disruptions to our vacation. Manager won’t be back until the morning. And I have POTS which means I’m miserable tonight with no AC… my body doesn’t regulate my temp and need AC so I don’t overheat and have episodes. So it’s been horrific.
Wow this hotel is amazing! We had a room with an ocean view, and it was stunning. Staff is friendly and helpful, kudos to Gail (breakfast attendant) and Kerry (housekeeping) they made this a really memorable stay.
A little spendy, but worth it. Had a short honeymoon there and also got the romance package. It made for a great evening after getting married.
Wasn't a fancy fancy hotel but the view and amenities were great! Location was perfect. I love staying here. Only 3 stars on service didn't need any.
Currently sitting on the patio of a bottom floor suite - the front desk was fine, the location easy to find, and the view is great view, but I'm distracted.
ACs from multiple rooms above are draining directly off the balconies onto the rocks near my feet. There is no straight line of paint anywhere in the room. Many wall corners and peices of furniture are noticeably chipped. The kitchenette cabinets have greasy fingerprints. The drapes have stains. The glass sliding door uses an off the shelf bolt (no lock at ground level?) because the original is broken. The condition of the rail itself made it difficult to slide and the screen door eventually wobbled off altogether. There was even a complimentary hair tie hanging in the shower, from the house staff or the last visitor.
So it goes for another investment property, refurbished on the cheap and showing low budget neglect. This may all sound like unnecessary nitpicking, but after awhile the little things start to add up and eat at that $300 a night fee. What everyone else's experience was, or what they expected, for the price I don't know. For me the Coho did not deliver on the 4.5.
An Unforgettable Coastal Retreat!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Coho Oceanfront Lodge and I can confidently say it was a remarkable experience from start to finish. The recent renovations have truly elevated this already wonderful establishment to new heights of luxury and comfort.
From the moment I walked into the beautifully redesigned lobby, I was greeted by friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail in the decor and furnishings was evident throughout the entire property, creating an atmosphere that was simultaneously elegant and inviting.
My room was an oasis of relaxation, boasting breathtaking ocean views that were made even more enjoyable by the upgraded amenities. The Fire pit, the plush bedding, modern technology, and thoughtfully curated amenities added a touch of indulgence to my stay.
I can't praise the Coho Oceanfront Lodge enough for their recent renovations and the exceptional service they provide. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or simply a peaceful escape by the sea, this 5-star gem is an absolute must-visit. I'm already counting down the days until I can return to this coastal paradise!
3rd floor room was on the smaller side, but clean and comfy. The staff were friendly and polite.
Exquisite location. Excellent service/staff. Great rooms. Very comfortable. The ocean view is up close from our room.
Warm friendly service, especially Chris at the Front Desk! Well appointed suites, with a gorgeous view. Loved relaxing in the chairs by the fire pits over looking the beach. Breakfast was delicious, lots of options, and always being replenished. Will be back, highly recommend.
Love this place. My wife and I have stayed there twice over the past few years. The setting is perfect with amazing Pacific sunset views, great firepits to sit outside and listen to the waves, while sheltered from the wind. We like the location as a home base to explore the Oregon Coast. It's central so ideal to go south for a day and north the next. The staff is super friendly and attentive, rooms super comfortable and larger than most, very clean. Great breakfast and decent parking. We will visit again.
This place has fabulous service. My granddaughter loved the celebration package - the chocolate cake was wonderful. All of the balconies has perfect coast views. The sunsets were gorgeous from both the rooms and the fire pits. The pool was fun, and the exercise room was very modern. Will absolutely go there again.
It's the Little Things.
Not only was the entire trip a wonderfully relaxing time, the attention to detail really stood out.
Capitano, one of the maintenance folks, was heading down the hall "On A Mission" one morning. As I waited for the elevator, he stopped, stooped, and picked up a small piece of litter and tossed it in the bin.
Although he had something more urgent to attend to, he went out of his way to make sure that *everything* was as perfect as he could make it.
THAT is the level of pride shown by the staff at The Coho.
From the time I made reservations to the time I checked out, I was pleased with my decision to stay at CoHo Oceanfront Lodge. Very friendly staff. Personable yet still professional, a nice combination I look for. Open up your room and find yourself staring at the beautiful Oregon Coast. Get one of the romantic packages, and you'll find rose pedals leading to your bed, with a long stem rose and pedals covering the spread. Some beverages await your choosing along with some Belgium chocolates. Nice way to start your stay. Some have complained about the size of the bathroom, saying it's a bit small. They either need a place for gymnastics or have an extra wide bottom. Comfortable bed was nice and the room was clean both which are important to me. A great complimentary breakfast served was also appreciated. On sight fire pits are available for night-time viewing of the sunsets, which are spectacular. A half a block away is an open walkway to the beach. Enjoy your stay. We sure did!
Very nice, accommodating and extremely helpful with our situation! Went above and beyond to make sure we had a place to stay and a pleasant experience!
