The Dalles Wasco County Library reviews
7Absolutely the coolest little library. They have reading programs, story time, ongoing book sale, children's play area, and some beautiful pieces of art both inside and outside the library. As an "outsider" I felt this was a central place of learning for all ages for The Dalles area. They even have passes you can borrow so your entire family can visit local museums for free!
A man came to this library seeking nothing but a computer to program the software he'd been working on for over a decade. They kicked him out because of his appearance. He felt so shamed from the ordeal that he ended up killing himself on the nearby train tracks mere hours later. The man was a genius programmer who had a chemical imbalance in his brain. RIP Terry A. Davis.
A fun place to take your kids to learn and discover! It's a especially fun place to take your kids to play if it's a rainy day or winter time and you want to stay indoors.
The Dalles library is the best! Tons of books, good selection of DVDs to rent (which is very convenient) and best if all is the kids area. Cute set up, we love to go weekly to play, check put some books and use the little computers. The ladies working are always so kind, especially the newest lady (sorry, i dont know her name). Each month they do little take home art projects for kids that are fun and something exciting to go get. Thank you to The Dalles Library:)
Was held hostage by a kid in the play area for over 5 hours because I wasn’t able to “hit the dougie” correctly. He taught me how to “hit the dougie” and released me after I successfully performed the “dougie”. Parents, please control your children.
Great service, very helpful, good selection of books and dads. Interesting local events. Darn good library!
The NOISIEST library I've ever been to! My computer broke and I had to use the computer at the library to take a test for a job I had applied for. Good luck concentrating with the noise volume in this place! I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED AND APPALLED!
