The Drift Inn Hotel and Restaurant reviews
36This place is quite the gem! The food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere and patio are quirky/quaint. The mermaid paintings were wonderful and the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling bring an eclectic flair. Highly recommend!
The food here is amazing! I can't think of a better place to eat on the whole Oregon coast. The service the food and the building and decor are awesome!
Service was not good the order was not taken right she did not listen to us my wife can not have spicy food we asked if it was she said no and it was sent it back order a chicken sandwich and got a hamburger with ground beef not very happy at all with our stay
One of my best restaurant experiences ever. I had Manny's Pale Ale for my beer. One if the best beers ever. Prawn cocktail was excellent. My wife had the mac and cheese appetizer and she loved it. We split a mushroom and half pepperoni pizza and it was my favorite pizza ever. The staff was fast and friendly. There was a wait time but it was absolutely worth it. There was live music tonight and it was acoustic versions of classic rock and we thought the guy was perfect. I can't praise Drift Inn enough!
Stopped in for a bite to eat, and was pleased to find good food for a reasonable price. The service was as good as the food. Stop by the next time you're in town
LOVE the ecclecticness of this place! The employees are always super friendly and make the check in easy. Ive stayed in the Pedal Out rooms (hostel style) twice now and love the small rooms and shared space. My only regret is that I didnt stay long enough the next day to enjoy the back patio more.
Great place for a nights stay. Our room was a lot smaller than I thought, but we had all our amenities provided and the staff even let us use their laundry for an emergency situation. Very clean, and updated bathroom.
My stay here was awesome! All the staff were super nice and the little bungalow we rented was so unique!
Great food, the staff are super friendly and accommodating, and lots of great vegan and GF options. Will definitely come back!
First of all, we loved the whole town of Yachats. It was hard to choose a place to eat because there are a lot of options and many great reviews for each. We ended up at the Drift Inn because we could be seated quickly, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the menu had options for our group's varied eating needs (including gluten free and vegan). The server was very friendly and knowledgeable. We received drinks and food quickly, and everything was delicious! I realized after using the restroom that there is an outside eating area that is beautiful and atmospheric, I'd recommend asking for seating out their if the weather permits. Will definitely be going back to Yachats and The Drift Inn!
Interesting old building and lovely location overlooking the beach. Menu looked good with interesting choices. Unfortunately, we weren't acknowledged until we said something and our lengthy wait was ignored. Food was not executed as well as we expected.
I liked everything about this place. Very cozy and nicely decorated inside. There's ocean views which is always a plus. The waitress is very friendly, attentive and personable. I had the chorizo omelette. The waitress quickly informed me that it's not real meat and that it's vegan chorizo, probably because I do not look like a vegan and I really appreciated that she gave me the heads up. I make my own chorizo and like to try different varieties so gave it a shot. It was fantastic! The flavor and texture was better than that of many meat chorizo I've tried. We also had the salmon crepes, VERY delicious! You get 2 and they are rich so probably have left overs for lunch. I am very glad we ate here and look forward to trying their other delicious foods. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a healthy and very tasty meal. Two thumbs way up!
We ate here twice over a week. The first meal was a late lunch around 4: 30. Food was good, but plates all came out about 5-10 minutes apart. Second meal was dinner. Again, none of our plates came to the table at the same time. 3 of our 5 orders were wrong. $25 salmon dinner included inedible, still frozen sweet potatoes, and undercooked vegetables. The other 2 dishes were not as we ordered. When brought to the waitstaff's attention, she did not offer to fix it or make it right. Ahi tuna was not even cooked. Finally- we were charged an additional $26 on a $100 bill for tax and gratuity, when we were NOT charged either at the first meal. IF the meal and service had been acceptable, fine- but neither was. Additionally, we had to wait to pay this because the "computer was down". Terrible experience all the way around. We won't be back.
Room was great, clean, and had a nice view of the beach. Remote keylock system was a little hard to use
Stayed in the pelican perch studio room and it was awesome! Great little place and a perfect crash spot for an overnight stay in yachats
Try the warm steak salad, it was fantastic! The waitresses were all very good as well, so kind when it was real busy
Cute decor and good service. Food was good but not great. Clam chowder is brothy rather than the thicker version we usually see, the flavor was excellent. We each had chowder and salad. If you're looking for some excellent seafood try the Luna Sea across the street. Not as nice a setting, very casual, but excellent food.
Visiting the Drift Inn on our annual trip to the Oregon Coast from KC has become an essential part of our pilgrimage.
We absolutely love this little restaurant. Their food is delicious-we usually get whatever the special of the day is. This time my husband had a steak, I had the parmesan salmon, and our kids happily enjoyed buttered noodles (thank god - they're so food fussy, and this menu has kid items to hit the fussiest eaters.)
If you get a chance to sit on the back patio while waiting for your table (or to dine out there) -then you should do it! The patio is sheltered from the wind and there are beautiful plants and water features. The only reason we didn't eat our whole meal out there was because it has a limited menu and we wanted some items from the indoor menu.
This was our third year returning and we hope to return many more! Thank you!
While I did not stay here, I did go to the restaurant and I can say with confidence that This place is amazing. The food was great and the decorations in the restaurant were cool. They also had a fun outdoor eating area, as well as a miniature gift shop. 5 stars.
Incredibly eclectic menu and decor, but the food was delicious! It’s easy to walk right past the entrance, but the cozy dining area was inviting. The service was quick and although the menu has changed, it was still very good.
