The Float Shoppe reviews
29Jellllloooooo! And at peace that's how I felt after a 90min float and a 90 massage. I've gone in the past for just a float. Which in itself was amazing. But both? ! Wow! Great staff and expirence. Highly recommend!
The genuine customer service was outstanding. 5! The front desk gentleman sat with us and talked a little bit about our first float. He was caring and compassionate and wanted us to have an amazing experience. The price was good and they gave us a very nice military discount. It was a relaxing experience and we want to do a few more floats to really get in the float groove. The establishment could be a bit spruced up but it had EVERYTHING we needed. The soaps/shampoos/ blow dryer/ robes ect. We will definitely be back!
Had an incredibly relaxing and welcoming experience! It was my first time floating and I can’t wait to return:) highly recommend!
When you first walk in you are greeted by someone at reception, my first time was actually by the co-founder. Then, you are welcome to a for soak and tea whilst you await your room.
The first in six months that I had ANY pain free time from a neck injury was after I visited the Float Shoppe. Not only that, but it relaxed my muscles in such a way that when I returned to my physical therapy, the muscles I'd been trying to target were engaging and those I needed to relax did just that.
I have been to other float places in Seattle and they just weren't as good. The water seems deeper here, not crazy but maybe a couple of inches. That doesn't sound like a big deal but it really allows you to stretch, bend, move, and really connect to yourself and your body's needs. Others I have gone to, if you try to stretch or adjust your knees or hips you immediately end up hitting or touching the bottom of the tank. This is just not the case here. They also have several different types of tanks, acupuncture, and massage. On top of all of that, they are approaching these natural and holistic body treatments from a western medical background. I love this!
To be fair, this is my first ever float experience. I decided to choose the room with an open float tank.it was very nice that each room had its own shower, and little area for getting ready. The staff was very helpful in explaining how everything worked, and while waiting to be put up in your own room, you can enjoy the foot bath & tea downstairs. I would highly recommend a 90-minute float to anyone now. I think it is something that I will do for myself at least once every 6 months.
Perfect! Quick and friendly scheduling. Drinks and a foot bath while you wait. Plus you can walk right out and grab lunch. Convenient location to sneak in a quick service during lunch.
This is the first float shop I have been to. What a great experience! They provide you with everything you need to relax, including ear plugs.please use them! I am a strong swimmer and did not take here advice and I have had water stuck in my ear for a few weeks now.
I got a free 3 sessions from here a couple of years ago and I enjoyed my experience a lot. They are very welcoming and make you feel very relaxed at your stay. The rooms are very calming and soothing and floating is an experience I would recommend everybody tries at least once, its wonderful and extremely relaxing. Prices are a bit expensive which is why I've never returned but it was still a wonderful experience.
Best place ever! I love the float shoppe because all the staff are super friendly and they have the best customer service. You also feel really relaxed in the float tank and it is the most zen state you will ever reach. I’ve been in every tank. Personally, my favorites are Nautilus and Tranquility.
Recommend trying out one of these, a sensory depreciation tank. Excellent experience, nice staff, massage was great to! If I lived in Portland I'd have to have a membership.
Currently working through some serious neck and shoulder issues by doing intensive physical therapy. While in Portland on spring break, I decided to visit the Float Shoppe to do a 90 min float followed by a 60 min massage. Best afternoon ever. I loved how I was welcomed by the front desk staff and how well Rebecca explained the float experience. I did just fine during my first float in Nautilus. The massage was equally fantastic. Many thanks - I'll be back the next time I'm in P-town!
I had the pleasure of experiencing my first Float at The Float Shoppe last night! The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and calming. My fiance and I were showed around the building, introduced to the different floating options. I found the float to be very relaxing, I was able to get lost in meditation for about 20-30 minutes. I left feeling unique, relaxed, and awake at the same time. I will definitely be trying it again! I would recommend everyone try this. Shout out to Abe for taking care of us! Thanks again Float Shoppe
Floating has been something I have wanted to try for a long time and could not have had a better first experience! Everyone was very friendly and I felt safe and comfortable. I highly recommend this incredible experience!
Visiting The Float Shoppe has been one of the most positive experiences of my life! I have since returned and every time I come back to Portland I will make sure to visit! Floating helps you process the priorities of your subconscious, like ten years of meditation in 90 minutes! Book it with a 90 minute massage with Allyne for a transformational combination!
An amazing relaxing experience. Clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be going back - my first time experience was so good, I bought two more sessions.
My most favorite spa for relaxtion and healing on all levels. The Float Shoppe is full of talented, caring and highly educated staff. Every time I arrive into Portland I always make it a point to schedule a float and a massage there, its cozy, clean, and comfortable! I'm also especially grateful for their membership program as it provides accessibility to those focusing on self care in an affordable manner!
One of the best floats I have experienced in my entire life. In just one visit, It took away a lot of the tightness in my neck and lower back. It's recommended to do multiple floats a month for the first round.:)
I had an amazing massage here. I also had a float. I wish the rooms were a little more sound resistant. I could here people walking up and down the hall and talking. (There are signs posted to be quiet but someone ignored them.) There was also a bit of a gap around the pod door that allowed light in. My overall experience was still great.
Just great. If you've never experienced a deprivation float tank, this place is top notch. Friendly associates and a very zen like atmosphere. I decided on the Floatariun, which is totally enclosed and floated for 90 minutes. There are various options as some folks may not feel comfortable totally enclosed for that long. Since there is no light, sound, or smell; allows you to drift off and commune with your mind. The 90 minutes goes faster than you might think.
I miss working close to the float shoppe! Best place to go if you need to relax after a long day at work. Great staff & service
