The House of Rose (THOR)

I visited The House of Rose recently and inquired after a tuxedo. The time line I offered was tight, but Tony said he'd be able to accommodate it and he was right. The suit is attractive and stylish but really the biggest testimonial I can offer is to note the following: I can ever really remember feeling comfortable when wearing suits and the like- I don't know if it's the cut, or the styling, or simply my lack of experience with that kind of clothing, but whatever it is, I normally don't feel great wearing it.
However, I wore my THOR tuxedo out and about this past Saturday from 5: 30 P. M.until 1: 30 A. M.and felt entirely comfortable the entire time. Yes, I got compliments on the clothing, but if I'd not been comfortable it would have shown and I wouldn't have come across as well and I wouldn't have had as good a time and really, that's all that matters.
Entirely pleased with my experience at THOR and I intend to be back.

Very nice and honest business. I came in knowing nothing about suits or tailoring, and the person working helped me feel much more confident in what I was getting. It turned out I didn't need work done on my suit, but she could have talked me into it, so I appreciate the honesty and would happily send anyone here.

Tony created the perfect suit made just for me. He was very attentive in our initial meeting; listening carefully to my wishes for the perfect suit. A few weeks later, it was finished with no alternations needed at pick up. I plan on buying more.

I have a beloved bag that needed a repair and we saw House Of Rose had opened up and thought we would pop in and ask if they did repairs. We were greeted so warmly and told that not only are they able to repair my bag but at such a reasonable cost and in an even better way than the original design so that the bag will never break again. We left my precious bag in their capable hands and I felt full trust that my bag would be safe and come back to me even better than when I purchased it. When we picked up the bag there was a slight difference in the hardware and I felt I would rather have a different size and color, and they said no problem, bring it back in! I brought it back and not only did they repair the bag beautifully, but in the same day! I’m so grateful to everyone at House of Rose for giving me the gift of having my favorite bag back in service, but so much more. Their care and concern that I was satisfied with their work was of their utmost concern. They listen, they are extremely creative and deliver a beautiful product. They are kind and generous and make a person feel that they are the most important person in that moment. I’m grateful to have met Tony personally, and will be back, possibly for a custom made bag! I highly recommend House of Rose! They have a beautifully appointed shop with gorgeous bags for sale, gorgeous clothes for sale and so much more! Thank you Tony and the whole team for excellent customer service and for repairing my bag so that I can enjoy it for a lifetime!

We gifted a custom coat to our 20 year old son. It turned out beautiful! The experience was top notch and my son loved the process! We will be back for sure

My husband surprised me with a bespoke dress coat, designed by Tony, for Christmas. I'm a very particular person when it comes to fashion, and Tony was SO patient and understanding. There was a slight fiasco with the fabric that I wanted, and when we finally got it resolved, we were down to the week before Christmas. I told Tony to please not worry about a deadline. He promised me that I was his first priority, and that I would have my coat before Christmas. He had it finished two days later. His gorgeous shop is located in Bridgeport Village. Tony is the most warm and wonderful human, and was a delight to do business with! His work is impeccable, and his designs are to die for! I highly recommend The House of Rose!

Tony is amazing. Our family has worked with Tony on several custom designed pieces and truly are in love with every single one of them. Actual, thinking about working with him on another dress. Can’t wait to work with him again.

It's rare in today's world to find people who are still able to create beautiful things with their hands. Tony is one of those people. He is great at listening to you and understanding your personal style. Through his craftsmanship and skill he is not only able to deliver on time, but also a able to create a product that is made just for you. Looking forward to commission other garments in the future!

I was fortunate to receive a bespoke overcoat as a Christmas present. My initial appointment with Tony was amazing as he was attentive to the details I wanted to have included as part of my coat. He asked all the right questions and took all the necessary measurements. What I received was beyond my wildest dreams. I've never owned a piece of clothing that fit so perfectly to me. Tony was absolutely amazing! I walked in with a suit off the rack that didn’t fit me at all. Instead of charging me more than the suit was worth, he recommended I return it for a bigger size to make the alterations more affordable. Not only that, but I was on a time crunch and he fit me in and had my suit back in a week. He was absolutely amazing and I would recommend his services to anyone!

I visited Tony for a bespoke suit and loved the entire process. He's very laid back and made the process feel like less of a transaction and more of a friend helping you pick out what to wear. Prices were comparable to off the rack suits at Nordstrom but here I was able to choose everything I wanted from lining down to the type of material the buttons were made of. The suit fits perfectly which I can say from prior experience doesn't always happen with other custom stores. I will definitely be returning again.

On a last minute deal, Tony hemmed my 3 formal dresses in time for my party. Tony is incredibly talented and it oozes from every aspect of his being! I will go to none other! I am so thankful the dress story up the street from his shop told me to see him! Thoroughly impressed with his skill, time frame, price, and his personal fashion!
