The Ison House Bed and Brew reviews
9Wednesday night jam session was the draw and we weren't disappointed. Great night among people sharing the joy of music.
We went for the music, which was open mic on the night we were there. It was great fun, friendly crowd.
I don't know much other than the people are very friendly. I just go there to listen to the wonderful music.
Not to be missed! What a great historical place! Easy to find, a quick drive or walk to restaurants/bars/entertainment. We stayed in the large Josephine Room and were charmed by the original shutters, molding, fireplace, and setting. The shared bathroom was not an issue. Everything is clean, clean, clean from guest rooms to bathrooms to the little pub to sitting rooms. We stayed one of the nights the pub is closed (no music but beverages are served if guests want). Twila, one of the owners, was at the ready with information and anything that may have been needed. Will be back for another visit!
Great place! Really tuned into the city. We have best friends that live in Baker and we make it a priority to try and stay there if there is availability. Trust me you'll try to figure out where those mattresses come from and sadly you can't figure it out!
This is a great little spot! It was pretty loud in the pub pretty late into the night, and as a tired traveler, that was difficult. The hostess was kind, and I enjoyed my stay. Note, it is a bed and brew, not breakfast, so you'll have to go elsewhere for food! I recommend sweet wife bakery, they have very good cinnamon rolls! Stayed in the butler's quarters, and it was very quaint and clean. The restrooms were clean as well, and overall, it was a nice little inn.
Small and comfortable. The shared bath was not a problem. Great hosts and a neat bar downstairs.
The Wednesday night music jam was an unexpected treat and all quiet by 10 p.m.
My work girls and I got to experience a painting party and a tour of the rooms. It was such a fun experience! I also experienced a cover of AC/DC and Pat Benatar last summer and it was such a blast! Twila is such an amazing host! Definitely recommend the Ison House!
