Didn't stay at the lodge but went to the restaurant which was a real treasure. The food is excellent, fresh, local and totally yummy. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. We had the chicken sandwich and lamb shank special.

My husband & I love to explore lodges. This quaint lodge has an outstanding restaurant, too! We had a delectable meal with desert with cocktails. We started with the arugula salad with walnuts & beets which was perfect. So many times I have ordered this elsewhere & it was cold from the refridgerator. I had prawns with linguini & artichoke hearts. My husband very much enjoyed his flat iron steak prepared rare. We type of by sharing the NY style cheesecake with lemon curd. Sooooo good! I am a margarita lover, too. Their spicey version was outstanding! You must go & experience it!

The Lindsay is amazing! The outdoor restaurant deck overlooks the beautiful Applegate River.so relaxing! I have been to Sunday Brunch several times, and enjoyed the delicious BLT Eggs Benedict, and the juicy Lindsay Burger, made with locally sourced beef. The accompanying fries are tasty and unique! The wait staff were pleasant and attentive.
The lodge is a beautiful log cabin style boutique hotel overlooking the river.
Highly recommended!

Living in the Applegate, we do not have a lot of dining options. I have been to the Lindsay four times now… mostly because it is close to where I live. The menu tries too hard to be “artisanal” in food and in drinks. Both are over-spiced. I appreciate the sourcing of local ingredients but I think the restaurant and the bar would do better focusing on more basic, quality, home-style items. Please focus on the great local wines, offer quality but traditional cocktails, and entrees that are less ‘over the top’, with less spice, less salt and more basic Pacific Northwest offerings. Bottom line… Stop trying to overdo it.

We just loved dining here. The food was excellent, and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. Finally, this place is living up to its full potential. There isn't a more beautiful location to be found in the Applegate Valley. Although we just came for brunch, we toured inside the lodge itself. It's very clean and cozy, and they now offer wine tasting packages. With 18 wineries so close, it's the perfect central location for a beautiful weekend getaway. The Lindsay is definitely at the top of our list for a delightful getaway or an unforgettable meal.

Beyond words, the Lindsay Lodge is a magnificent place. Truly a place of splendor. I've lived in the valley for over 20 yrs, never having the pleasure of experiencing until last night.
The food was incredibly delicious, I chose the salmon and couscous. It was Devine. My boyfriend and I stayed in the room called the logger. Elegant, that's all I can say. The room was open, had a balcony to enjoy the view of the river. Continuing inside, climbing up the stairs to the loft and greeted with a cozy bed. The room has a full size bathroom with hot tub.
Outside, on the side of the parking, there is a beautiful area designed for any venue, weddings, parties, reunions, any occasion.
Definitely a place that would be a shame to miss out on. Worth every sec, the best memorable moment I've encountered.

Went there for dinner with friends. We had a table on the deck. The river view is outstanding! The food was good but a little pricey.

Beautiful location if you can sit outside. We made a reservation to sit outside but were told when we arrived that is only a request. When we found a table outside that would accommodate us we were told a bit rudely "that table is already reserved" So how was it reserved for another party but our reservation for outside was only a request? Waited about 1/2 hour to get drinks after ordering. The drinks were good but not (wait a half hour) good. Food was very good, but after our meal we were given a menu that had deserts and a couple that were special for Father's day that also included a special entree Filet Mignon, we were not told about beforehand that my wife definitely would have ordered instead of the NY strip steak. Food and location very nice service very lacking especially for the prices. I would have given 2 stars but it was Father's day and wanted to give them a little benefit of the doubt since they seemed a bit overwhelmed.

I had a meal here. It was Father's Day and my friend and I arrived at about 6: 15 pm. The parking lot was packed. They were super busy. I had been invited by a friend for a belated birthday dinner.

I ordered the special. The Filet Mignon. My friend ordered the Rib Eye. (She also ordered the salmon to take home to her husband). We also each had wine. We both ordered our steaks medium rare with a push towards medium. Both of our dishes arrived with blood all over the plates, and mine wasn't even warm. Extremely rare. My entire plate was barely warm. We both asked for our meat to be cooked more.

For a nearly 2" Filet Mignon, I was surprised I had to use a knife to cut it. It was not the buttery knife tender filet I am accustomed to. The rest of the meal was good. Not great but good. The service was kind
and showed quality and caring were important. The views were fabulous.

The meal was a gift, so I am grateful. However, if I had spent $45, I would have been disappointed.

I realize it was one of the busiest days since they've taken over. So some things are understandable when it's really busy. But a quality Filet Mignon should be fork tender. This was far from that.

I'll give it a try again if I pass through. It's a beautiful place for a glass of wine or a cold beverage and to enjoy the view.

Awesome brunch! The dishes were kind of an upgrade to the old menu with healthy doses of class and quality. The steak and eggs I had were tender and perfectly seasoned. My better half had the fried green tomato Benedict and I didn't even get a bite of it. Next time. My only criticism would be that the portions are almost too small. The setting along the river, however, is perfect. Jill, our server, was friendly and fun. The Lindsay IS your reason to visit Applegate.

Update 5/24/23
We had the MOST wonderful wedding here on May 6th. My husband and I cannot say enough about how Anna and her team graciously hosted us and worked hard to make sure everything was perfect. The lodge was the most magical and beautiful setting and Anna was so accommodating with everything we wanted to do! Our families traveling from out of town were all very comfortable and Lindsey Lodge even hosted a fabulous rehearsal dinner for us. We felt welcomed and right at home and the little touches from Anna's team made our day feel like one-of-a-kind. Thank you Lindsey Lodge for memories that will last forever.

Delicious brunch on the riverside deck! The food tasted like something you'd find in Napa or some other shi-shi location. The BLT Benedict with fried green tomato was excellent. My sister and her husband raved about the avocado toast and steak and eggs. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to visit again!

The Lindsay Lodge restaurant is a welcome addition to Southern Oregon's culinary scene. We had dinner on their deck overlooking the Applegate River and it was simply stunning. They source locally for their menu and you can tell. Everything was fresh and delicious. They offer a full bar and are family friendly with great service.

We look forward to our next dinner there.
