The Old Spaghetti Factory reviews
18 The food is awesome
Atmosphere awesome and classy rustic
Service a little slow but they were very busy
The atmosphere and the people here are such amazing people. And they are so kind and hospitable. I recommend this place with 5 stars.
I was excited to try this place but sat down to a dirty fork, flys on the window sill, and a transient camp on the back patio. I ordered fettuccini and half the pasta did not have any sauce on it or extra to stir around. The sauce was unseasoned and it tasted similar to microwave meals. Never again
My husband is a pasta Lover. I just haven’t had a special experience for my taste buds with pasta until now. He was very happy with his meal and I would say this is the best (including my mom’s) I have ever had. We will be going back for more before long. It was a very worthwhile trip from my Albany home. Everything was a solid five star.
Went here my first day of vacation and Going to start out with saying that the wait staff was excellent. Super nice easy to talk to and joke with. The food was also very good, I have some friends with some specific dietary needs and they had a WHOLE menu for that. The problem lies with what I ordered. I ordered the stuffed Crab and Lobster pasta. I’m a huge fan of seafood and never had a problem in the past. This dish gave me food poisoning of some kind basically keeping me in bed for 3 days.
It wasn't that great the chicken was super dry in the chicken alfredo and there was barely any sauce!
As a kid my family would occasionally go down to the original Old Spaghetti Factory at 1st and Pine in Portland and enjoy the Edwardian period antiques and urban railfan callbacks. Now that I no longer live there, the Corvallis restaurant is the closest, and I keep going to this place and bringing family there when we need a food stop before the final hour drive home.
The food quality is always good and predictable. It's never excellent - while the chicken breast was overcooked and a little tough, yet nicely seasoned, the spaghetti and sauces are always very flavorful and perfectly cooked. There is a lengthy kids menu, as well as inexpensive large carafes of wine for the adults or a wine list if you want something better. Overall everyone comes away pretty pleased.
The long wait times tend to be long but the company training keeps the servers coming around to see what they can do and are generally helpful and accommodating. I've given just 3/5 stars today because my family has two transgender people in it, and the young waiter didn't respect one of them and when we explained his mistake he wouldn't acknowledge it.this was upsetting to us all. We were too tired and hungry to walk out. The rest of the dinner was polite and hit all the expected service notes, but left the issue unresolved.
The atmosphere is great. The beautiful restoration of the former twice relocated Corvallis train station now in a romantic setting at a bend overlooking the Willamette River, many functional and lovingly restored period antiques notably in the waiting area, Tiffany styled stained glass everywhere, and reproduction period benches and tables with jewel tone velvet back cushions.
I'll keep coming back, especially to the Eugene location opening this Fall at Oregon Electric Station building close to home, but I hope the servers get some training for personal rights awareness. If one bad incident is repeated that'll chill my life long appreciation of OSF's aesthetic and admirable family restaurant chain.
First time in the Corvallis location and the food, service, and ambiance was all perfect! Our server was the most adorable and friendly person I’ve had wait on me in a long time. Will definitely go back!
Air conditioning and/electricity went out (during a heat wave) ; servers tried their best, and the food was good, but it feels like they needed to shut down until it was fixed rather than power thru it…
Food never changes. It's good but would be nice of they brought in a new dish every now and then. Service wad excellent tonight. The young man who was helping us was timely, friendly but not intrusive.
Very friendly customer service, reasonable prices, beautiful decor. Great for dates and special occasions
The foods always good here and service is usually good as well too not too much to complain about here
This was a great place for our family dinner. Food was terrific, service has great, and we loved the entrees that came with salad or soup, bread and ice cream or spumonti. Feels like we were getting our money's worth with a 3 course meal.
Lift had been broken and not repaired for some time.
Hard to find low-sodium dishes.
Had the meat lovers spaghetti. I have to say the food felt like many fast food places, every part was precooked and sat until plated. The bread crust was so hard that the serrated edge knife could hardly cut through it. The pasta was old, and the meat balls were dry and seemed to have been cooked much earlier. A very disappointing experience, I will say. However, the server was kind and prompt.
Wonderful Italian Restaurant, not a lot of appetizer options, no bruschetta. The food was amazing in flavor. The Ceaser dressing is one of a kind.
A pasta lovers dream. They have excellent drinks, and the serving staff are incredibly friendly. They have gluten free options as well for those who need it.
