The REC reviews
17 A group of us went lay night and a few of their lanes weren't open and we had to wait for a land to open, but it didn't take long.
It's a good place to hang
Great staff and awesome Monday 6-10 deal for bowling on a budget. The food options ain’t to shabby either.
Came here with my dad and uncle. We have a usual spot, but we decided to try something new. We prepaid for roughly a hour and a half. So we spent 60 some odd dollars. So the food was good, everything was fine at first. But then everything stopped working. The first problem is the lane kept resetting then it wouldn’t put all of the pins up when it reset. So they moved us lanes. Then on the second lane it started to have the same problem but ended up working again, but then the balls got stuck. So we moved lanes again. Then this lane had the same problem where the balls were getting stuck over and over but after a few minutes it would come finally. So we complained and they gave us 15 more minutes. But we had to keep getting more balls. A) throwing off our rhythm and B) wasting more of our prepaid time. So overall probably 25 but more like 30 minutes plus of our prepaid time was wasted in the lanes having problems. And when the problems arose it kinda seemed like the staff didn’t exactly know what to do. So I give this place 2 stars because I appreciate the staff trying, but overall still feel like my money was wasted. And I’m gonna stick to my usual lanes from now on.
Honestly, this is still a very nice and nostalgic place to be. The food is great, and it's always a great time with the family.
Disorganized. Slow to turn machines on. Our lane was VERY sticky. Shut the lane off in our 8th frame.
My son and I had the best time together bowling. The place is super clean (we still bring Lysol to spray into the holes) and has an area for parties. The cafe has a big selection of pizzas, hamburgers and anything else you could want in bowling alley food. I had the fries and they were great! My son actually said that they were the best fries he's ever had and he's had a fair amount of fries. They have video games and foosball which was fun. It's an all-around great time and we will be back.
Cool place to bowl with the family. I've been here a couple times with my kids and they enjoyed it a lot.
Awesome place to bowl, eat and hang out. Wonderful people and environment and would recommend it to everyone who loves to bowl.
A great place to go and have an after season softball party, with clean facilities and shoes, and a good amount of seating. The bowling controls themselves are decent, making for less distractions when playing.
Very nice place. Clean, fun, staff were very nice. Very family oriented. Our family had a great time.
Great people who served the community and serve the Son of God. I enjoy playing here with friends and family.
For a birthday party with a 2 hour time limit of all you can bowling for 10 people, 2 huge appetizer platters, and 3 pizzas we spent just over $300. The service was good for the 2 staff there, and they were focused on our experience. On a scale of 1-10 I would give the Rec a solid 7.
We booked our lane ahead of time online and were able to check in on time and the customer service was outstanding! The facility was clean and the prices were fair too.
Classic 10 pin setting bowling alley! Glad to see with new ownership, they haven’t swapped out for string pin setters!
You can only bowl per hour however. They don’t seem to offer per game pricing (unless you’re on one of their leagues or something, idk).
I love taking my niece and nephew here. They really love coming and always have a good time! I even took my niece dressed up as princesses for her birthday once! And the food! So good. The chef really knows what he’s doing! Highly recommend.
We love going to The Rec. We go about twice a week. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Food is decent, little spendy.
