I have been living in my new home almost a month now, and wanted to highly recommend the Salem Real Estate Group! As a new homebuyer, I had the blessing of working with Dewey Whitton and her team. I have been so thankful I had the experience of working with such an excellent group.
I came with so many questions, and I was impressed with how professional, hard-working (special shout out to Allie), responsive, and patient:) the whole team was. Dewey brought wise counsel at a couple of critical points in the sale, and as a result I now have a beautiful new home that I really love. I am so grateful. What stood out to me throughout was the team’s kindness towards me, and their genuine caring for people and the community we live in. You can acquire knowledge and professionalism in any field, but compassion is a deep value that comes from the heart. I read their core values on their website after I had worked with them awhile, and those describe this group perfectly! I highly trust Dewey and her team and would recommend them to anyone I know (and have already) as my Number One recommendation when buying or selling a home.

Moving from Portland to Salem, we have had by far the best home buying experience working with The Salem Real Estate Group. Our agent Kellie and the entire team were extremely friendly, helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable. When we started working with them, they began a group text with the entire team so that when we did have any questions, someone was always available to assist. Review of Salem Real estate group

Before I get down to the nuts and bolts of reviewing our realtor, her company, and the other individuals that helped us, here’s a little context. I am not a person who hands out accolades like a soccer mom telling her son’s team they are all winners, even though they lost by eight to nothing. In the main, I don’t have a huge respect for realtors in general as I’ve found it to be an industry rife with people who don’t really know what they’re doing. So, when you read this glowing review, you should know they really had to earn it.
Our realtor was Dewey Whitton, one of the principal brokers at Salem Real Estate Group. We had worked with her before when she was the listing agent for the house we are now selling. One of Dewey’s many talents and one I greatly appreciate is, she doesn’t try to blow smoke up your ass, sorry for the crude depiction but it does get the point across. Naturally we all tend to have an inflated “fantasy” about what our home is worth. Dewey is not going to tell you what you want to hear just to get the listing. She knows the state of the market at any given time, and what is realistic. And boy did she nail it. Even in a market that was challenging due to higher interest rates, we received a full price offer within the span of three weeks which was consistent with our own research. Dewey was prepared to listen to what my wife and I had to say, but not afraid to give a reality check where needed. Katy Voves, another principal broker, is a real dynamo at logistics. She is extremely responsive, friendly and great and getting thing to happen. Dewey and Katy are a fantastic combination.
These days the term “team member” is so ridiculously overused. The guy flipping burgers at the local MacDonald's isn’t an employee, heaven forbid, he’s a team member or perhaps a “burger care specialist”? But here’s the thing, at Salem Real Estate Group it really is a team effort and it feels that way. They really do enjoy their work and that transmits to how they interact with the clients. I am not an easy person to impress, just ask my wife, but I am impressed by this company. We had some extensive logistical issues to deal with in and outside of the sale. Dewey and Katy understood that and acted accordingly. I have absolutely no hesitation in giving this excellent team my highest recommendation.
