The SALON by InStyle Inside JCPenney, Medford OR

I made an appointment for a spiral perm and a hair cut. I was there on time and waited a half a hour and the receptionist came out and said my stylist was on vacation and wouldn’t be back until June 3rd. No other stylist could fit me in either so, practicing what I think people should more often, trying to be kind, I asked for an appointment on June 3rd at 11: 00. Well June 2nd, Instyle inside JCPenney called and said they didn’t have a stylist again! The receptionist said can you? I cut her off and just said no I will find someone else.have a good day. Wow! Amazing they stay open! Very unprofessional!

My hair was straight cut across my back and I asked for a two inch trim. I now have a lopsided V losing at least 4 inches. She didn’t wash it and barely combed it. She complained that she tried to call me earlier and I could have gotten in earlier so she could have gotten off earlier. I started to ask her to fix it but knew it would only get worse from here. I’m glad I didn’t realize how crooked jagged and downright horrible this haircut was while I was there or I might have flipped a lid. Not only did I lose major length against my wishes but to even this out will literally cost most of my length. This is honestly the least caring, least skilled, most jacked up and worst rush job of a haircut I have ever had. I can’t complain enough to describe how bad this haircut is.

Thank you Sammy for the wonderful hair cut! (I went in after receiving horrible hair cut some where else. I had 12 inches cut off and never had short hair before). Sammy was able to create exactly what I originally had in mind, she added so much layer and volume with my flat fine hair, it amazed me! I for sure recommend her and will definitely come back! Thank you Sammy!

I went to have my hair done by Sammi in a simple updo for my wedding. Sammi saw no issue with the plain, low updo I had chosen. She then spent the full 90 minute appt repeatedly trying and failing to make it work before taking it down and asking a second stylist to help. The second stylist got it up in about 15 minutes into the closest thing resembling a deliberate updo, although not at all what I had initially requested. My hair then immediately fell down before we even reached the venue, and ruined every single wedding photo. We spent thousands of dollars on our wedding to have every single picture ruined by my messy, falling down hair. I am devastated. Sammi should have asked for help long before she was forced to at the end of the hour and a half long appointment. This could easily have been avoided, but instead was a devastating failure on her part. I cannot recommend her. I am so sad.

Robin the manager really is amazing and goes above and beyond! 30+ years of experience and she knows her stuff! Very pleased with her service

Renae is my "go-to" stylist! She has been coloring my hair, and discovered the perfect mix to achieve the red shade I like. I have naturally curly hair, but grew out my short layered hair over the last year. Renae is great at blow-drying it very straight, with lots of volume. I get so many compliments on the length, and shine! She is always explaining how new products can be advantageous to my hair care line.
