The Tides By The Sea, Seaside OR

Our trip to the beach was amazing in large part due to The Tides by the Sea. Great location, clean rooms and friendly staff. The pool was immaculate and a joy to swim in. Anytime I am in Seaside, I’ll be staying at the Tides. Highly recommend.

Thank goodness this property had the sense to stop using Vacasa. Now they have a wonderful couple managing the site and they saved our recent trip to the beach. Although there was a leak in our shower, they were quick to come and review it. So friendly and courteous. We would definitely stay here again. Nice grassy area for eating outside in the breeze, well kept play area and the pool was nice and inviting.

We had a great trip to Washington and Oregon. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Very convenient to the beach. Most importantly, I need to thank the staff there. We left the Tides to go to our next destination by mount Rainier 3 hours away. My mother in-law realized that she left her jewelry in a drawer at the Tides. I contacted the Tides and they found the Jewelry. It would have be very inconvenient to drive back to get it. The staff there took the time to ship it to her home. There was 5000 dollars worth of Jewelry and some of it was her mothers. All of it was returned. We will definitely stay there again if we go out that way again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in May. The room we stayed In was so cute! The scenery looking right at the ocean was so wonderful. They had everything you needed in there. The only downfall of that place was that there is NO soundproofing. I mean it too. I could here everyone's conversations in the other rooms and trying to sleep when folks next door get up at 6am is a real pain. Everything shakes when doors are slammed or people even walking.

Stayed in the cottages condos, superb and the cleaning staff who works for tradewinds, cleaned my unit perfect thankyou Cassilda C. Mater cleaner and hostess to us!

We didn't have anyone next to us for most of the week, so it seemed quiet. The last night we had neighbors and it's really not very quiet; the walls aren't very sound-proof. The room itself was fine, with a small kitchenette and a bathroom, and it was clean.

When I reserved it, it was listed as having a queen size and a twin size bed. What it had, in actuality, was a queen size bed and a camping cot that only sat 6 inches from the ground, and really no room to put it anywhere. Not exactly ideal for two 55+ women with a bit of weight unless we wanted to call the rescue squad every morning to get one of us up off the floor, but we made it work.

The only other issue I had was the room looked out over the courtyard and was very brightly lit. Without room darkening shades, it was like daylight all night long. I literally had to open the curtains to see if the sky over the ocean was dark or if it was daytime yet.

Overall an excellent experience! Would love to visit again and would definitely return to the Tides by the Sea!

Be wary, evidently an actual reservation is not really a reservation. In Feb.we booked a room for 4 days over Independence Day holiday in 2023 & suddenly, for no apparent or discernable reason, that room reservation isn't available for the dates we had reserved. Or any room for that matter. Sure would be nice if there was some sort of accountability.

The Tides is a cute little coastal spot. We were in room 143 which is a little studio with a great view of the ocean. There is a pool for summer time and the beach is literally within walking distance. Definitely recommend!

Now I'll start by stating I didn't stay. I stopped in with my puppers. While they were not pet friendly the night clerk was very poised and professional and provided me a fantastic list of all the pet friendly hotels in town and saved me a bunch of time.
