The TP in Chiloquin

For a family vacation, we stayed at a local AirBnb. The host provided some suggestions for food - what caught my eye was the comment "Great Milkshakes". So, off we headed!

Definitely, a hole-in-the-wall type place, the TP had a pretty decent array of options for food. The first night we went (because yes, we went multiple times for the milkshakes), both of the workers were super friendly. They were blasting some great, feel-good music, and our milkshakes were prepared pretty quickly. We even ended up getting a little extra! The shakes were pretty darn good (even my not-easy-to-please dad finished his). The food was pretty good - The Hungry Hippo was humongous, definitely fed two people!

The second time we went, it was just for milkshakes again. Super sweet, Austin brought the shakes out to our car.

*I do want to note for anyone reading this - they do stop making milkshakes at 6pm. So make sure you give yourself plenty of time to try the yummy goodness!

Awesome fries. Love that they aren't put in plastic boxes that would turn them soggy. Burgers are awesome too. Will have to try a shake next time.

One of those hole in the wall places with great food. Be prepared for a side of the road place to eat and no restroom. But did I say great food.

Absolutely delicious! Perfect crisp to the fries! The dipping sauce was great! We ordered the hobbit burger and the ranchero, very tasty! 10/10 would recommend this place!

Very tasty burgers and perfectly cooked fries! We stopped by during a little bit of a lunch rush and the young man working was very friendly and busted his butt to get everyone everything they needed.

Austin at the TP made our experience better than we could’ve imagined! The burgers were great, we will definitely come back!

Had a really great bite to eat on our way back from crater lake! Mushroom Swiss was on point and the seasond fries were great Firefighter approved!

The "All American" burger was really good, the tuna melt wasn't so. Very friendly and bubbly worker there by himself singing along to songs on the radio and cooking. If I'm ever nearby I will definitely come back.

Honestly the worst ever burger. The servers where young and very friendly.
But it took them ages to make it and when we got it we were so disappointed. Don’t go there.the guys working there should talk to their boss and change something.

Great little road side burger joint, good food and the cook was pretty cool. Of note is its owned and ran by believers in Christ, there is a side window where you can purchase a meal or two for someone in need, what a blessing to their community. Definitely recommended.

Small hamburger place with lots of personality in a small town that doesn't have a ton of choices. I had a burger and the fried pickles, and they were awesome. You can eat in their picnic area or carry out. They also have a program where they provide food for those in need, and you can contribute to that. I like that option and contributed

Found this place on our drive home. The reviews we read were great. Our food was just as amazing as the reviews suggested. The fries are incredible and the burgers are authentic and delicious! I will definitely be back the next time I am passing through.

How on earth this place has so many great reviews is beyond me. I'm completely blown away.
When my family and I arrived, there were a ton of people waiting on food, so we figured it was good. The guy who took our order seemed annoyed with everything I ordered (turns out he didn't tell me that all the burger orders come with fries, so we had 3 extra). We waited.and waited.for OVER AN HOUR for our food, my kids were exhausted, my toddler was screaming. It would've been excusable if the food was good.but it was subpar at best. My "caramelized onion and bacon" burger had two bites with bacon in it and no onions at all. The fries were soggy and over salted (no one even finished them). The Salisbury steak burger had a few small bits of mushrooms and a blob of horribly salty gravy. Overall, my mouth hurts from the salt and I'm out $45 and my sanity. Will never come back again.

This was our first time visiting the TP and it did not disappoint. Austin is super sweet and the master of the adult grilled cheese sandwich! I love a good grilled cheese and this is one of the best I have ever had! The bread was toasted to perfection, but still soft and fluffy, so buttery and the cheddar cheese was so stringy and delicious. Loved the fry sauce that came with the meal. They also have an option to donate a meal for someone in need. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to give back to the community in a small way. Thanks TP, we will be back!

This place is well worth the stop. We were traveling from Luther, Montana down to weed California. Had our 45 foot toy hauler in tow. Pulled over on the side of the road for some chow and we are so glad we did. If you are traveling through I highly recommend you stop and give this place a try. Don’t worry about turning your trailer around either, because you just continue straight down the road and the freeway hooks back around. The LGB burger is a must try ;)

What a gem of a place. I'm vegan and I can't believe they serve a veggie patty burger! It's 10 out of 10 delicious. Fries are big and chonky and fresh. Austin was so nice and personable. I got a meat patty for my dog as well and he LOVED it. I'm going to become a regular customer of the TP!

You can't pass through Chiloquin without a stop at the TP. One of the few places around that has a full hot menu with plenty of dietary options & a variety of sides, desserts & beverages to choose from. This is a family owned & ran business that supports their community in multiple ways. Keep on keeping on TP! Some advice to travelers, if they're slower than usual or mess up your order you can always say something & they'll make it right. Be nice, you're in Oregon.
