The Waterhole Tavern reviews
14 They have the best wedge salad I have ever had! Their homemade dressings are delicious!
Was so excited to try their pasta but unfortunately was disappointed. Bolganize pasta was dry with not enough sauce and portion was small for $17.
A great little place to visit for good food. I've been here a few times now and every time the food has been good. Sometimes it's a little hit and miss but generally very good. My last visit, the fries came out a little well done and the patty melts unions we're grilled very well, but the meat was seasoned perfectly and the desert (carrot cake) was amazing.
Their selections of drinks are really nice with many selections of beer, whiskey and wine.
I wish they had a few booths to sit in just for some privacy as the atmosphere can seem more like a bar than an eatery though it is both, it can get a bit overcrowded and cold. Otherwise its a great place to visit for wonderful food and drink.
Update 12/2023. Still great and good food/service.
This is a cool place for a quick bite or just a beer. Full bar too. The food was hot and fresh prepared. Family friendly that is still a bar. A couple poker machines on the side. Clean throughout with ample parking. Service was friendly. Prices were fair. I'm go here anytime I'm in the mood for some beer and food.
Nice place, well lit. A few people were eating when we got there (early 4: 30 pm dinner). Plenty of TV screens to watch college football (Ducks and Husky games). Server was polite and attentive. Food came very quick, at about the same time as the appetizers and it was hot and delicious. My wife had a seafood dish and I had a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. We both got a large side portion of tater tots, too. We will go back again.
Love this place. Great food, Great Drinks, Great Atmosphere and the Bartenders are absolutely amazing.
The only thing this place has going for it is the service the bartender/waitress was sweet and welcoming, the food was awful expensive and disgusting we are locals and tried this place for the 2nd time and once again very disappointed, dirty stinky fry oil, the scallops came out cold and over cooked the shrimp were DEAD I mean DEAD! NON edible
Across from work. They tolerate us nicely. I like the staff. Foods decent. Some good ipa's. I'm here rn.
Good food, good atmosphere, great prices and lovely service. Been a consistent place now for a few years and they do great!
I hear the food is pretty good though somewhat spendy and all of your prices are too spendy for me I drink at home nowadays I just stop by to say hi to a friend
Shoestring french fries, tots and awesome sandwiches. Also maybe the best salads in town. It's been hard to find veggies in this town but they are here. We enjoyed our breakfast too! We usually start with sharing an appetizer or salad and then get a meal to split. The chicken parm sandwich was great! Next we will try the Cajun shrimp sandwich. I don't know where all the bread products come from but they are great. We are visiting Prineville from Portland for a month and this is definitely a go too place. Great beer and margaritas. Cheers!
Too bad I ended my 10 days in Prineville here. It was recommended by some old timers at the good breakfast spot in town (Tastee Treat) so I tried it. The bacon was good. Eggs were eggs and Bevs Pancake was average at best. The potatoes were inedible. I told the server they tasted like they just came out of the can. No offer for a remake or anything. Just brought the full bill.
The waitress was the worst person, took our drink orders like we were a problem for her, and we waited for a menu for 25 minutes, so we went ourselves to get menus, waited an hour and a half for food. And I ordered a salad
I never do a review, but the service was the worst I have ever had.
Too hot in there. Apparently there is no ac. We waited while the waitress ignored us. We never even ordered, never given menues. I guess we must be invisible. F_ k that place I won't go back.
Okay, I must say this first. The inside of this place, due to renovation is pretty awesome, which you wouldn't expect from its location. Its a long time establishment and they did an amazing job upgrading and keeping it country with the wood and beams. On the inside you would think this is a new brewery. Staff is great, super awesome, X2. Pizzas are what you would expect from an Oregon pizza place, maybe better. Breakfast. The sour dough pancakes are thin and perfect. Eggs are great, bacon ho hum. The bad was the homemade potatoes. You can tell they were fresh cut, but no one at the table ate them all. But still, we are going back.
