Three Bears Recreation Site reviews
16Good time always when my family goes there. This is the first year that the sites are pay sites, so make sure you pay online before you get out there since there is no cell service and you can only purchase the sites online. Really close to the river for swimming also.
A neat little campground along the Mololla River. It is a park and haul campground, so you will want to have some means of carrying your gear from your vehicle. The sites aren’t too far from the parking lot, it’s just not as simple as a park-in campground. The location is perfect for playing in the water. We went when it was very warm outside. The water was amazing. No cell service at the campground, so keep electronics at home. Outhouses don’t have water or sanitizer. Plan to bring something for your hands.
No parking places beside the campground, you need to walk, but is a good option for camping
The place gets a 5 but the fact that the feds took public land and are charging now is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. PERIOD
The area is beautiful but the bathrooms are the smelliest nastiest bathrooms ever, so many flies it makes you feel like you’re becoming a fly. You have to pack in your stuff and don’t park next to your site so that can be tiresome in the heat. Over all a fine place to visit, be careful of the poison oak in the area, it’s extremely abundant.
We found this gem just a few years ago, it's my fave place to bring the fam for camping for sure! No cutting wood from the forest and if you bring it in pack it out
This is a decent camp ground. My issue was more the other campers. People leave tons of trash, don’t really clean up after themselves, and if you are looking for a quiet, family camping trip this is not the spot for that. It is now a pay & reserve campground. It was free & fc/fs for the longest time. When we talked to the individuals that worked the campground last year, they informed us they were considering this because of how campers at this spot weren’t obeying the rules & creating more work for them. Before the fire, if you drove on down the corridor and up onto the hills, there were some amazing dispersed camping spots. Unfortunately, after the fires, I’m not sure how many of these are accessible or even remain.
Very nice place, quiet and family friendly. Amazing campsite with grill and fire pit, beautiful river, many crawfish in there so be careful
I want to say this place is cool but it was full of homeless people and we didn’t feel safe walking out stuff in and leaving our truck parked away from us.
I have taken my girls there with my best friend & her kids for years! We just got back from a night stay last week! Love Three Bears?
Only place I ever wanna camp. People really need to start treating it better or it's going to turn into another pay to camp location!
Bums have taken over. Campsites piled high with trash. Didn’t even feel safe being up there.
Clean restroom not to far from the camping sites camping site a nice ways apart from each other most people really friendly
Very nice camping experience here with my son. We had a very good time and the rangers were pretty cool.
It's a really nice place! There's cliff jumping the first rock is ten feet the second one is 24ft tall. Also the waters actually warm. There's a lot of fish for fishing but if you fish please fish away from the swimmers like me cause that's dangerous fishing by us. Otherwise it's a nice place for a hot day even for a not as cold day
Great place to get away. Sadly I guess it won’t be free much longer because people keep setting up their tents and then staying there like it’s their new home. But me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time getting away and enjoying nature out there.
