Tokio Table - Japanese Steakhouse reviews
16Good sized portions of food, but smaller portions than similar restaurants. The food was cooked well, but lacked flavor. The chef was low skill and more interested in flirting with my guest than cooking or entertaining us with his skill.
This is good teppanyaki. The table chef was talented and funny. The show was great. This was a youth birthday. We had 8 at our table.
I will warn you that it was expensive. So be prepared. But it was a birthday for my grandson so it was worth it.
Food was great quality. Drinks were good.
This place is great I would almost say that it is better then Benny Hanna they have a great selection of steaks and seafood
I would definitely come again
Great experience! The Chef was awesome.
Our 16 year old picked this place. For his bday Glad he did.
If you’re a group of people looking for a new experience, this could be fun. If you’re looking for good cocktails and service, this will be a supreme disappointment. Food was decent. I wish I’d dined elsewhere.
The food was excellent, chicken fried rice was delicious. I ordered the chicken and steak combo and the portions were massive. Our chef was very entertaining and the service was superb from both our server and the chef. The pear cocktail was also very refreshing, and the prices are fair for a hibachi grill. Definitely coming back soon!
P. S. - make reservations and definitely get the potato croquettes!
I had steak and lobster combo with the yum yum sauce and shrimp appetizer. Dinner was full of flavor, I would recommend going if you've never experienced the dining of the chief cooking your meal right in front of you. Parking how ever is a challenge you'll have to walk a few blocks but worth it.
A decent alternative to Benihana for sure, the food was good, ordered steak and chicken rice, appetizer wings were good too, drinks were decent. First timers didn’t know the tricks for the visit. Order when you sit down! They take forever like they don’t know how many people to have on staff or they just don’t have enough. I guess I can see why some places require a reservation and charge if it’s missed, since it helps with knowing how much help to have on hand. Otherwise I would visit again.
Thank you so much for all your great food
We make a reservation but apparently there was an issue from Google app and we didn’t had any table reserved when we arrived to this place
But the owner or person in charge make our day let us eat there with out this reservation
Thank you so much,
you represented the state of Oregon as friendly state and for travelers like us that’s really important
Went to tokyo table immediately was greeted by waiter who seem suprised we were there told him we had reservations he double. Check sat us at a table to the side we ask if we could sit n front of grill sense we are here first he told us no then a party of six came in he wanted to sit all six people at our table i called him over n told him im treating chemo n immune system weak ask if we could sit wit a couple who was solo he again so no its to bad that um treating if i cant sit there thats the way they work now there 7 tables open only 2 been used he was rude inconsiderate even the party of six left do to the rude attitude n lack compassion he showed never again definitely a thumbs down n i will definitely alert my community of the mis treatment n lack compassion fir a veteran treating chemo therapy ….
Butterflied my fillet and served it between two people. The chef was great server was not very good. Food was expensive $250 for three plates
My daughter took me here for Mother's day and the food was FABULOUS. I was skeptical because I'm a Benihana gal. After this meal, Benihana who? Delicious!
The service was slow. We sat down earlier than our reservation, but we ended up waiting another 30 to 40 minutes after our original time to start. Our chef was lackluster and didn't seem to enjoy cooking or was a beginner. I'm am used to a show sitting at the grill and this experience was far from it.
The interior of the restaurant was lacking in comfort. Parking was also scarce.
Food was really good. Our cook could of been a little bit more lively, but he was nice. Overall good experience
Southeast Portland's Japanese Hibachi grilling with all the expected entertainment value of clanging knifes, flaming flashes, egg flipping, volcanoes - not to mention delicious food and drink.
