Tom McCall Waterfront Park reviews
15One of the best parks in Portland. Fountains, great view of the river. Great for a picnic or to bring visitors for the lovely view.
06/11/23: this park is outstandingly beautiful with large sidewalks, picnic areas, and benches. I enjoyed walking here and overlooking the giant and beautiful Hawthorne Bridge. Worth a visit when you are in the area
Wonderful place for walking, running and cycling by the waterfront! The park is huge with a good view and it’s located on the downtown Portland which makes it easily accessible.
Pets are allowed but mostly on leash. I didn’t see much parking spaces nearby and the sidewalks aren’t that clean.
Otherwise it’s an amazing place for recreational activities.
Beautiful waterfront park and trails. Lots of covered areas for festivals and events. They have a Cinco De Mayo this weekend. Great views of the bridges.
Such a beautiful area to bike and do your morning run. Parking is impossible that is why this place lost two star. There is cafe’s around to sit and watch the bridge. Pretty nice area.
Tom McCall Waterfront Park is a breathtaking destination to visit during the cherry blossom season. As the cherry blossom trees bloom, the park becomes a sea of pink and white, creating a stunning contrast against the blue skies and greenery of the park.
Walking along the Willamette River, visitors can enjoy the soft petals of the cherry blossoms floating in the air while taking in the views of the Portland skyline. The park is filled with picturesque spots to sit and relax, soak up the beauty, and take pictures of the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
The best time to visit Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland, Oregon for cherry blossom photography is typically in late March or early April, depending on the weather. This is when the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom and create a stunning pink and white display throughout the park. It's best to visit during the early morning or late afternoon when the light is softer, which can create a beautiful glow on the blossoms. However, the park can get crowded during peak bloom, so it's best to plan ahead and arrive early in the day to avoid large crowds and capture the perfect shot.
This is a place in Oregon where you can see very long cherry blossom trees.
It's a famous cherry blossom spot, but it's not crowded like in Korea and it's great for a walk!
Portlands spring gem!
After a the winter days, this park turns into a wonderful canopy of yoshino cherry blossoms that attract visitors from all over the country.
I really enjoy walking along the waterfront and seeing the whole city. On a good day, you can relax on the benches and have a good time walking around the park.
There also a lot of establishments like coffee, shops, restaurants, and other unique Portland finds. Definitely a must visit especially in the spring time.
The Cherry Blossoms are almost full bloom! (Or is this it? Lol). Regardless, so beautiful! Side note: If you're planning on going while its gloomy or raining, its very muddy, so wear shoes you dont mind getting dirty.
I really have no words for how much I love this place. The trail is amazing. Takes me about 2 hours to walk the whole thing from the Tillukum bridge to the Steel bridge. A great workout! And beautiful while you're at it. Particularly great in summer and then in the mornings. The only downside is the amount of homeless people around. I've never had any trouble but it can be scary if you want to go for a stroll in the evening.
Used to be a nice park. Now it's drug infested, dirty, full of criminal activity, and a homeless camp.
This waterfront area is nice for walking, bike rides and a great place to hangout. The park was clean and had restrooms. Few homeless people in the area. We booked a lime scooter and strolled around the park for 5 miles.
The walkways are paved and there's a lane for the cyclists. Loved the scenery and the bridges over the river.
There are a bunch of cherry trees in the park which must be magnificent in spring.
This place is so beautiful! Plus on Saturday’s they have a lovely local businesses market!
Couple of my favorite events down here: cherry blossom blooms, brewfest, pride, bridges to brew and Portland Saturday market.
