I had the pleasure of working with Erica for 2.5 years while I was Education Director at the ADL PNW. Erica is a thoughtful facilitator and leader who can help participants reflect on complex issues. She is honest and patient; she is vulnerable and reflective. Erica has the ability to help participants understand the history of this country, while at the same time empowering them to consider their own personal next steps. I have worked with Erica while facilitating anti-bias workshops with both teens and adults; she is able to genuinely hear participants share their own understanding and at the same time bring them into the space so they can consider alternate perspectives. Erica is a thoughtful and on point facilitator and educator in the antibias space.

I’m not sure why you’re still reading this long review and not connecting right now, but maybe you need more specifics. As a co-worker of Erica’s and a participant in several trainings she has led, I’ve found her blend of empathy, humor, direct communication and authenticity to be a powerful catalyst for personal and organizational growth and action as we all strive for a more just and liberated society.

The facilitators are some of the best equity and inclusion facilitators I have ever had the opportunity to work with. They expertly connect with everyone in the room, connect the participants to one another, and honor the lived experience of everyone involved. Strongly recommend for small group facilitation or large group facilitation.

This review is on the camping retreat held May 2021. I had an amazing time! I was able to relax in an environment that felt safe, a safe space. Erica did a fantastic job organizing and facilitating this event. I met a wonderful group of individuals, shared space and stories, and built a little community in a short period of time. I feel that the mission of the event (relax, relate, and release) was accomplished!

Transformative Living Community does so much great work with identity building. I felt excited and part of something larger then myself. This was so important because I am a single father. Having that kind of support helps me to transform into the kind of father my daughter needs for her own identity building.

I am currently a student in one of Erica's classes. We learn on the basis of an asset based learning environment. She is an incredibly kind and compassionate teacher. She leaves a lot of space for every person's voice to be heard, and explore every avenue that is brought up. On top of that using community learning allows each student to bring in their own unique perspective and resources for everyone to use, further building the experience and overall academics of the class.

I am a student in a class taught by Erica Compere, a facilitator from this organization. Community based asset learning has been very eye opening and beneficial to everyone in our class. Erica has been an amazing facilitator. I now have a learning community in which I feel valued and accepted. I know that I am a key part of the learning experience as is everyone else.

Ms. E is the first teacher I've had that has given me an understanding of community learning in a school environment. She successfully improves the classroom by creating a safe space for students to bounce ideas off one another and increase our learning capabilities.

I went to a retreat in March, 2019. It was wonderful! The food was amazing, the company lovely, the massage energizing, and the accommodations were beautiful. I highly recommend attending retreats with Transformative Living Community, International!
