I have recently booked Two Men and a Truck services for loading the items into UPack truck. They did a very bad job, loading the stuff into the truck. I have provided the straps, but they did not strap the items properly in the truck, because of which lots of my furniture got damaged: (. I don't think these movers are professional, specially the one's which helped me in loading the truck. By the time, the truck reached destination, most of the stuff fell down and they were not tightly packed. I have asked multiple times about the same (whether items stay intact), they responded yes, but they did not do right job. Even my local movers who helped me unload the stuff looked at the way the stuff was organized mentioned that who ever did the loading did scam me by not doing their job properly. I am very much disappointed. I saw great reviews and booked the service and spent lot of money just to see that my items are damaged.

What an awesome job they did. Took all the hassle out of moving. So appreciated Adrian and Logan. Courteous and professional. Well worth the price. Thank you SO much.

Does six hours seems a bit extreme to move a small one bedroom apartment one block away? Smashing the truck into the building and finding the movers lounging around many times while I'm paying 185.00 per hour was beyond disappointing. They claimed the extremely long move was because there were hallways in the building. See, that's what dollies are good for. Wish they would have used them.
There were also elevators.
Ben actually worked really hard but he didn't have much help. The guys were nice and pretty friendly but I'd avoid this company at all costs. I've moved more times than I can count in my 60 years and this was the only horrible experience I've had. I'm stunned by the entire situation and my apartment leasing office will not be recommending them again.and they're running three complexes in town. Too bad for two men and a truck. They just lost a lot of business.

I had short notice for a move and was able to book Adrian, Logan, and Johnny a week in advance. They were extremely fast and efficient and treated my furniture with care. They maintained good spirits despite having to deal with MANY stairs. Highly recommend.

We used them today to move my in-laws into their retirement community. All three of them were very kind and patient with them. They made sure their things were taken care of and placed right where they wanted them. They were a hard working bunch. Their prices were also very competitive. I highly recommend them.

I was blown away by the efficiency and service of Two Men and a Truck. From the booking, to the confirmation before, and day-of team, I had zero complaints. Ben, Blake & Skyler were so efficient, flexible, courteous, and accomodating. They moved my whole 3-bedroom house, including basement and garage, with care and in record time. Will recommend to anyone I know who is moving!

Thank you Two Men and a Truck, for making my office move so easy! You were efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I felt like my things were in good hands. Even more, you moved my things during a business day with the office open without disturbing anyone there!
I highly recommend Two Men and a Truck to anyone needing a moving team!

I am in the process of making a reservation with Two Men and a Truck. They are great and very polite! There pricing is super reasonable. I believe I talked with a gentleman named Josh at the Hillsboro location. Fantastic customer service and look forward to having them help us move onto our next adventure!

Hiring Two Men and a Truck was the best thing we did for our move! Brad, Logan, Miles, and Cookie made our move so pleasant and fun! They were so friendly, helpful, and STRONG! I'd never be able to move a washer and dryer on my own. Thank you so much for everything!

Super happy with the office team as well as the movers. Saw ice moving in and asked the office if we can move two days early - 3 days before the original date. They made it happen and the movers were really friendly despite having to move us from a 3-story apartment without an elevator. They were very careful with everything and tried their best to move our couch through a very narrow hallway (unfortunately unsuccessful)

The crate service was a great price for my cross-country move. The office team was always easy to communicate with and got back to me quickly. One of my items arrived damaged, but they processed the claim and sent me a reimbursement check quickly.

They wouldn't hold our reservation and are now busy when we need them. They tell us now that we needed to take pictures of the inside of our house and since we didn't they gave the reservation away. They never told us that before.

They are also horribly efficient. When they looked at the pictures, they said it would be about 8 hours for 3 people to move our 1260 square foot house. That is absurdly slow.

Best move experience! Fast, friendly, thorough service from the first call to the final paperwork.
Josh walked me through the inventory. His estimate on how many boxes and rolls of packing paper needed were SPOT ON!
The Team: Chris, Skylar and Jeff. These three HUSTLED. Moving from a 3 story to a single level. They were careful on the load, and then would run.not amble.but RUN back to get the next load of boxes. Kind, courteous, professional; friendly and got along well. It was nice to hear them encouraging and laughing with each other all the while they were MOVING.
Placement at the new home was done with care.
Thank you to the entire TMT Team for making my move a GREAT ONE!

Our movers Adrian and Robert were fantastic. They were able to move it all in less time than quoted, and they were careful to boot. It was wonderful to have their help. I will recommend to everyone.

TL;DR: 750 sq ft apartment move took 9 hours, and cost $1500.

I've moved a lot in my life! I know how valuable movers can be. In the last 7 years I've paid $300-500 for an across town move with my current load of stuff. Once I knew I was moving about 15 minutes across town, I asked my friends for their recommendations.

I'd only recommend Two Men and a Truck if you have the most straight forward move possible, and absolutely steer away anyone who lives in a large apartment complex or on the east side of Portland.

Scheduling was easy, and the quoted rate was fair. They will mention that they charge you for the time they spend driving from the warehouse so be aware of that. I did not have a choice to schedule later in the day to avoid rush hour traffic. I also want to note that I mentioned I had a few plants, and they said they could move them over the phone. In person, the movers said they don't move plants.

A few days before my move, I called to let them know I'd like 3 movers instead of 2. I was moving from a 750 sq ft apartment (1 bed, 1 office) and wanted to spend more time that day unpacking vs supervising a move. They warned me that based on my estimate, I would have to pay the minimum (around $400) even if they went under the time minimum. I have some bulky stuff and I knew that even with the elevator reserved, I'd go over the minimum hourly fee with the drive time so I was ok with the added charge.

Day of, the 8am drive took them about an hour to the east side. Once they looked at the situation, they were annoyed at how far they had to walk from the truck to the apartment but there was not much I could do about it beyond reserving the elevator and making sure they could park as close as my complex would allow.

It took them from 9 to 1: 30 to load the truck, during which time they would occasionally run up and ask me if I knew where the other men where.

The afternoon unload was rough because I do have stairs. These are tough stairs! They tried their best but there were scratches in the wall by the end of it, and we did have a discussion because I used the word 'banged' about an item. My bulky furniture arrived intact (despite the scrapes) and nothing broke.

It took about 2 hours to unload. At the end of it all, they did knock off 1 hour of the price because they felt bad about driving during the 8am commute and the 5pm commute.

In all this, they did take one unpaid 30 minute break and a lunch break, which is fair enough and I don't want to begrudge anyone rest. It is hard work! It just made for an exceptionally long day.

I did receive an email asking me for my review, but no follow ups based on how much I paid. I would've gladly paid $800-1000, based on the complexity and the wish for 3 men, but $1500 for a move across town for a 750 sq ft apartment to a house over a 9 hour day was a tough pill to swallow.

Do I think a 4th man would've cut down on the time? No. I felt like one of the workers did the bulk of the job, one had to be directed on what to do at every second (I think he was new?), and the third stood with the truck during loading. I could've stayed to watch the truck if I had been made aware that this was needed but instead I waited in the apartment.

Next time I think I will stick to a local company vs a franchise.
