United Rentals, Eugene OR

I could write a few paragraphs as to why I only gave one star but instead of doing that I will just say make sure if you have an important job that needs to be done and you rent from United rental make sure their machinery has been maintained. I rented two pieces of machinery on a time crunch and one machine needed an oil change and one machine needed a new belt. Also just because they say they offer 24 hour after hours service they DO NOT!
Needless to say I will never rent from them again and I will not give them a good word.

United rentals has a friendly and helpful staff, with loads of rentable equipment to choose from. We rented a roto tiller for the day, and it all went smoothly. In the store they have a plethora of safety equipment, and yard tools. They even had hand sanitizer for customers to use, which now a days says a lot about a company. I defiently reccomend United!

Very poor website. Spent 30 minutes trying to find trenchers! Went to trench boxes, ladders, more trench boxes of every size, then a couple big trenchers, then more trench boxes every time. I know they have the smaller walk behind trenchers, because they sell them. I've done a lot business with them in the past and always went to the shop. Website a 3 out of 10 to use. Jumps around, show the wrong items, limited usefulness.

Reserved a tile saw from United rental a week before a tile job. Went in to pick it up and they said it was shipped to Salem. Total BS. Now we have to find another way to get a tile saw. Turns out C&E rentals carries plenty of tile saws at a reduced rate. Never again will I do business with United rentals.

I scheduled my reservation more than a month in advance. They called me the day before my reservation and said that they don't have the equipment that's not available. What's the point in having a reservation?

This is the most disrespectful company I've ever had the displeasure of living near. Despite city laws regarding excessive noise before 7 am, these people begin their loud beeping and banging and diesel engine noises often times before 6 am! Rumor has it that they are moving to another location (possibly) So it seems as long as they are on the lot near our home, they will throw caution to wind and violate the sounds laws because they really don't care about anyone else. I would never use their services now if there was a need, knowing what an inconsiderate company they are.

Every time we've gone in here, the guys have been so nice and helpful, and even if they don't have the tool to rent you, they will tell you who can without you even having to ask and will call the place (their competition) to see if the tool is available. Awesome!

Two weeks ago my husband and I rented a wood splitter. My goodness when we arrived a little gal named Tara I believed came right out and inquired of our needs. While I took care of the paperwork she went over running directions with my husband. We were in/out in 20 min tops. We had rented for 24 hrs to allow driving time and cleanup/ return. When we returned it earlier than 24 which actually was 6 hrs they charged us according to that amount of time and not the full day. Fellow named Jeff waited on me both times called me by name and treated me very well. We will be back if we ever need something like this again. United Rental is a super company with the greatest customer service. A + in our book. Thanks everybody!
