Upright Brewing, Portland OR

It would have been fun, they were supposed to close at 9, got here before the game for a beer, they are closing before 7pm. Will not be risking this again. 0/10

Don’t go there for food. We went there about 7pm and place almost looked closed and just some people watching sports on tv. Not very welcoming and of course left cause they didn’t have food. Weird vibes.

Always an excellent stop for uniquely crafted excellence, new expanded space upstairs is excellent, westerly view and outdoor seating!

Nice chill little spot with a large variety of beers. Walk and see the river from the Broadway Bridge. Real close to the moda center. A definite swing in location.

We were visiting from Delaware and checking out the local brewery Portland brewery scene so we stopped in. The location is REALLY cool! There are multiple businesses on sight and the building itself has a ton of history. Our server was excellent as well. The only reason this gets 4 stars is because the beer was uneven. They had a couple of things that were really excellent, and a couple that had developed funky aftertastes during the brewing process. We would still try them again however to see if they were a little more consistent going forward. The place is definetly worth a stop.

Always have amazing beers and the upstairs move only makes Upright better. A MUST go if in Portland.

This place is walkable distance from moda center (in comfortable shoes) and it open at 11 so it was perfect. Large and interesting selection of beers. Food options were a little lacking for vegan options but they did have some hummus if you're starving. Quirky decor, very portland. They had some park bench style outdoor seating out front so would be cute on a sunny day. We'll probably be back anytime were at moda center.

Slow service, not friendly, and beer is okay at best. Can't event do a taster or flight to find a beer that is okay.

If you stop by, make sure to be ready for some good beer. Beer is really good here and staff is very friendly. Located at the historic Left Bank building. You can learn a bit of history while drinking with historical facts throughout the building, giving it a bit of museum vibe. A must visit.

Update Feb. '22 Has moved upstairs and is still great!

Came here on Sunday evening 2021-11-21 just prior to attending an event at Moda Center. Quite a few people had the same idea of drinking here rather than at Moda Center, so it was quite busy. There were only about a dozen tables or less, so it was challenging to find an empty table. Additionally, there was literally only one server behind the counter, so the line and wait got quite long. The gentleman behind the counter was nice and patient; the pressure of the long line did not appear to faze him whatsoever. He was quite deliberate in his pace.
The ambiance of the small brewery was nice, comfortable, and modern.
Restrooms were clean and require a key, which are hanging near the counter.
Parking can be challenging during peak hours.

Flora Rustica, Tripel, & Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Rye Saison - all were excellent brews. Roast beef sandwich was out of this world! Horseradish, arugula, pickled peppers were a great combo and the bun was great too. Fantastic place to hang out and chill for a couple hours.

Chill brewery in an historic building. Good beer, on cask no less. And they were playing MMW with portraits of jazz legends on the walls. Dig it.

We came here out of town from New Mexico and the bartender Nick was super helpful and nice. The place was impeccable and the ambiance was great! He recommended a really great beer for me and my boyfriend. Will definitely return if I get the chance.
