Vibra Specialty Hospital of Portland reviews
10First impression- dingy place that is poorly cared for with floors and walls that are dirty, old, chipped, cracked, lacking updates for decades. Lasting impression. Short staffed, pushy case managers and poor leadership. Staffing is mostly LPN and CNA type (most said they never went to CNA school) with a few RN's. Overall not a place to send anyone that can't speak up for themselves. Must have family present 24 hours to make sure your loved one is getting the care they need. Beware. Quality is not the goal- making money is.
Vibra has done an amazing job rehabilitating my wife Rhonda. She arrived May 6th of this year. Since her arrival she has been improving every week. The entire staff has been very supportive and helpful to all her needs. I can't express how thankful I am to all who have been involved with her recovery.
There are a surprising number of people in nursing who are e dedicated to taking care of their patients and do so regardless of their own needs and problems.the staff here is very compassionate and do their absolute best to help us make it thru the day.
Everything was great at Vibra. Not only did I heal well but I made some friends. This team from top to bottom did amazing job for us.
The staff were quick to respond to my call lights and meet every need, Food was good. No complaints.
They even went above and beyond and allowed my son to be married in my room at Vibra so I can be present. Vibra made me feel special!
Vibra was a fantastic place for my husband. He'd had a cerebral hemmorhage stroke and been hospitalized for almost two months - most of that time in neuro critical care. The very day after he was admitted to Vibra, for the first time when I came in, he was walking down the hall with a walker! That was such a thrill!
The whole team had a strong intention to get him off the ventilator, and they worked hard to make that happen. By the end of his month stay, he was not only off the ventilator but also off his tracheostomy tube, all his heart & oxygen monitors, and was eating pureed food.
I can't thank the Vibra team enough for all they did for us. Special thanks to all the nursing and CNA staff, and all the therapists who helped us so much. When he enrolled, they estimated a month stay which seemed so short after all he'd been through; but the progress in that month was fantastic!
I was admitted here after having brain surgery and had a horrific experience. Most times, I was left unattended to lay in my own waste. Although there were a few cnas that were very nice and helpful, the majority of them were absolutely awful and rude. This was the most horrible place I have ever been to. The food was gross too.
I was at Vibra for 2 months for wound care from a life threatening skin infection, I received excellent care from Mija & Emmalia along with numerous nurses & cna’s, Kaitlynn & Eric from the wound team, the whole PT & OT team, Dr. Simmel, and Josephine from the Dietitian office, they all helped to get me where I need to be to go home, Thank you all so much!
Policies are subject to the whims of staff being enforced or ignored randomly.
Staffing for paralysed patients is minimal. Being checked on approximately every two hours when choking is a substantial risk and can bring death within minutes.
The list is long of dangerous and ineffective policies that jepardize the patient's recovery.
This place is a potential death trap for the most vunerable patients.
I really hope no one has to come ever to this horrible and neglect place. 2,3 nurses are great and that’s it.
My wife had a stroke and was sent to Vibra, I must say they treated her with great care and respect, all the nurses and CMA were just great. A special thanks to Chanderdia such a caring nice person, to Sterling and his staff they were wonderful with Ann. I must give a shout out for the cleaning lady very nice and does a great job. And Wayne such a great guy and so helpful. I must say I'm going to miss those people. Thanks again for what you did for Ann.
