Voodoo Doughnut - Davis reviews
18Doughnuts, doughnuts and more doughnuts. Normally, I am not a fan of cake doughnuts but Voodoo got Dem good cakes. Fresh.
I didn't like this place. So much hype and really sweet doughnuts. I ended up eating the bread and throwing away their really sweet icing. It was inedible
If you're wondering "is it worth the hype" the answer is yes. Check this location out for wayyyy less crowds. Lots of options and everything is fresh.
Was honestly disappointed. So much hype on this name and although the donut wasn’t the worst I’ve had, it wasn’t the best. Was fresh I’ll give them that but it just wasn’t living up to all the frenzy around it. Had a donut from a small local chain previous to trying these guys and for a literal fraction of the price, it was literally heavenly. If a product is good I have zero issues with paying for the quality. For me, the donuts are overpriced and they were just ok.
Doughnuts are fresh and there's a good variety to select from, this location was not as crowded as the downtown Portland store
Found some pretty interesting items on their menu online. Got to the location and so much stuff was sold out and some items I guess had already been discontinued. What we did try was ok wasn't really impressed.
Voodoo is our go to spot when we visit Portland. We love the experience that comes with their doughnuts.
KEEP PORTLAND WEIRD
What's not to LOVE about OUR VERY OWN TOTALLY ICONIC. KEEPIN-PORTLAND-FOREVER-TOTALLY-WEIRD Landmark! I used to work for a giant Atlanta based airline here in PDX and the Pilots and flight crew were ALWAYS headed downtown for their haul of the iconic pink boxes to bring back home to Atlanta and share with their family and friends
I have been going to Portland for years but finally had to try Voodoo Doghnut because of the hype. Four stars because it was ok, nothing spectacular and definitely does not live up to the hype.
Pretty decent donuts, they are very very sweet though. Don’t order more than you can eat that day because they don’t keep well and are quite large. It’s such a fun doughnut shop! The decor is very bright and colourful. They had a really fun Photo Booth and other merch available! The staff were super friendly and helped us figure out what to order. They even gave us some free Voodoo stickers!
This place is fabulous. I'd never been to this location, but had a late night craving after a horrible day, and to my surprise they are open 24/7. So I go in, and there's no line, and throw
Aphex Twin is playing over their speakers. It was just such a great visit. They were out of the donut I wanted (banana cream, sooo good), but the donut person, a wonderful person named Merriam, offered to make me one special if I didn't mind waiting 3 minutes! Incredible service. This is my new favorite location for late night donut. Avoid all the hubbub of the downtown location and do yourself a favor and come to this location. It's a hidden gem. And they have a photo booth!
Thank you so much Merriam for my special made donut. You and your coworker with the cute hat are legendary and I really appreciate you both.
Love the donuts. Especially that this store has ones you won’t find in the Denver airport store.
What a wonderful Portland icon! Such a wild variety to choose from. I personally took a mango donut (SO GOOD!) but I tried three others and they were all amazing. Just go. Totally worth it.
Was going in thinking it would just be a gimmicky shop. However, the donuts are actually really good. Helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Really great donuts and the prices are not crazy. So many donuts disappeared before I could take a picture, they're that good.
Doughnuts! Sugary treats that everyone wants to grab while they are in Portland. The names are fun and be careful of the sugar rush that you'll get from trying all of their doughnuts. They have a huge variety and it's so tempting to buy them all just to try them all.
Some of the best doughnuts I've ever had, hands down. The Portland Creme is just heavenly
