WORST PHARMACY IN NEWBERG. Even though ex-governor Kate Brown's actions shut down all the small and local pharmacies a few years back, leaving only three pharmacies left in Newberg, and this is the ONLY one with a drive-thru, you still will be very miserable if you fill prescriptions here. They cannot keep employees at all. (Maybe Walgreens should have allowed medical freedom for them a few years back?) Even my doctor said they can hardly call in prescriptions because they are always randomly closed. The chick with the koi fish tattoos is wonderful, but that's just not enough to keep me there anymore. I've suffered for years with them hoping they'd fix their severe issues, but honestly, it just keeps getting worse: (

It's my belief that if Walgreens would pay their pharmacy staff better they would get people applying! I gave the pharmacy 3 days to fill my script and it stills wasn't ready when I asked why she said they were backed up 900 prescriptions wth come on Walgreens raise the wage!

This location has unpredictable hours for the store and pharmacy. I do not blame the staff. This is a corporate issue, I’m sure. They’re constantly understaffed. They’re out of a lot of meds too. Go to a different location. This one needs to permanently close or be adequately staffed. This is the 2nd pharmacy to essentially vanish in this town with no notification to its pharmacy costumers. Now I can’t get another pharmacy to fill my prescriptions in town because this Walgreens “filled” it, but isn’t open for me to retrieve it.

It is unacceptable to have to wait over 1hr. To pick up a necessity such as medication or for the pharmacy to just be closed withing business hrs. This is constantly, I don't blame the employees but it's just ridiculous.

The pharmacy at Newberg Walgreens is a place a depond on. Everyone who has helped me there is friendly and very helpful with my family's prescriptions. Stephanie has been especially helpful with my daughter's diabetic prescriptions. I hope everyone there knows how appreciated they are!

Worst pharmacy ever. Repeatedly given dates and times for pick up and never ready. Poor customer service. Absolutely ridiculous.

I live right behind this Walgreens. It's usually a very convenient stop, but this month it's anything but. When I stop by is pretty random due to my work schedule but always before 4pm. For some reason, MULTIPLE times, I've gotten there to the store closed with a paper sign saying not enough staffing. After several tries, I give up the gamble of stopping here anymore.

If you have prescription, don't expect to receive it on time. I was called today saying it was ready, went in, and told it would be a couple weeks because they were out. This is something I take 3 times a day, I can't go a couple weeks.and why did they call and say it was ready? This is the third time this has happened, will never use them again.

Whenever I try to use my United Health Care OTC card the register will not take the transaction. It’s so frustrating to find this out after I’ve done my shopping and stood in line for 15 minutes trying to get checked out. I left my items went out to my car and checked with the cardholder and had done everything correctly so the transaction should have been fine.
Going to Walgreens is a waste of my time. The cashiers need to be trained correctly. I believe all they needed to do was check my I’d and it would have gone through. I’m not coming back. I’ll use my card elsewhere where I don’t have problems. I should know better. Shame on me.

Another busy day at the pharmacy and only one poor tech on staff. She’s manning both the window and the counter. It’s Saturday and insanely busy. Seriously what is up with staffing at this location? Help her out!

I feel bad for the staff there. Overworked and underpaid. I swear the same people always are there and run it day in and day out. There is definite turnover which is clear to see. From past employees, all I hear are horror stories. Everytime I get to finally know a friendly pharmacy tech, they are gone. 1 star for corporate, clearly from the top down issues. If only my health insurance didn't require me to use them for scripts. Employees are great, company is the worst I've experienced.

I was with walgreens for a few years and I hate this pharmacy. My prescriptions were never ready. I would always have to fight them to get them filled. Some of the staff are so rude. Something needs to be done about this. So many unhappy customers. I switched a few months ago to Safeway and they are nice and I have never once had to ask to fill a prescription. They do it asap and text me when it's ready. I don't recommend anyone to go to walgreens!

I am from out of town, came to this Walgreens on Monday and asked them to call in an express script to have the prescription transferred into the store.
I gave them an extra day as they were busy and came on Tuesday late afternoon, and they had STILL not followed through to call Xpress scripts to transfer the medication I needed.
After waiting for two hours, my husband came in to take over waiting and my husband is still waiting.as it turned out, my husband waited till the pharmacy was just about closed and they have not called my name yet he went up to the counter and they were very rude about giving it to him even though he knew my personal information I was supposed to have three boxes of insulin. They only gave him one, and this is causing all kinds of problems because of their unprofessionalism!
I will not make this mistake again. I will not return to have a prescription filled at any Walgreens!
As it turns out the effed up my prescription so now I cannot get it filled anywhere!
I don’t recommend Walgreens. The pharmacist were extremely rude especially the lady!

This Walgreens is very undependable. They close at random times and never have photos processed in the time the website says they will be done.

I never write reviews when experiencing bad encounters. I felt the need to do so today. Pharmacy tech with the short blond hair and neck tattoo was absolutely awful. Treated me bad, rolled eyes at me, and while I waited to for my meds I watched her be so rude and disrespectful towards everyone that came. She said they were understaffed and had a lot of prescriptions to fill and that’s totally understandable. What wasn’t understandable was her attitude. Needs to be fired if she doesn’t have the patience to work there and even more so when she physically and verbally shows her disgusting attitude for everyone to see. Even commented on a clients car when they came through the drive thru. I literally couldn’t believe she was being for real. The pharmacist Sarah was doing a great job and was sweet. Do not go here unless you want to wait days for your meds and want to be treated badly.

Received 2 calls that my prescriptions - one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. (They were promised by 10: 00AM but I wasn't upset. Stuff happens.)

I drove down an hour after the second call to pick up, waited in line, and then gave the person my name when it was my turn and that I had 3 to pickup.

She says, "I have two prescriptions. "
Surprised, I said, "I got a phone call that there were 3 ready. "

"I have two prescriptions, " was all she said. She did not look at me the entire time I was there, and was not at all friendly. (My past experiences have been positive.) "The third should be ready in an hour. "

I asked which prescription was not ready, and of course it was the one I had to have - medical imperative. So I decided that I would come back for all three later.

"Fine, " she said, still not looking at me.

I haven't had this kind of negative experience in the past, but now I can understand why so many of this Walgreen's ratings are low.

"Walgreens, you need to get rid of her and get someone with a pleasant personality. I would not have driven there had I known that not all 3 prescriptions were ready, and given that they were late, it did not occur to me that there had been a mistake. But I would have understood if the person had simply been courteous - even a bit apologetic. But this person's response was completely uncalled for. "
