Westside Church reviews
11Wonderful place to spend time with friendly, loving people. Volunteer opportunities to connect with others and contribute to the central Oregon community. Amazing worship and messages each Sunday morning that prepare me for the week ahead. The Women’s events are super fun, casual and so welcoming of all. Highly suggest you come visit Westside Church and get involved.
I appreciate the Jesus-centered teaching, the quality and compassionate worship, and the opportunities to connect with others. What can seem like a big church at first glance has become a wonderful place of friendships and ministry for me and my family.
My family and I have been attending Westside Church since 2021. I am grateful for this community of believers. The church is intentional in its outreach to the community and city. They create spaces for young and old and have numerous outreaches and events to invite others to a Christian faith community. The messages preached often remind the congregation of Christ's teachings and the humility of our faith. The children's ministry is engaging and heartfelt. My youngest loves the activities and care he receives from the volunteers. The youth ministry is vibrant, and the leaders and volunteers in the youth ministry invest in the next generation. They have games, food, and activities to create an intentional space for youth while teaching and impacting their development with solid teachings. Unsurprisingly, my son loves being involved in the youth ministry. I admire the impact of the Bilingual Ministry on our community. As a greeter, seeing Spanish-speaking families entering and being part of this faith community is rewarding. Leadership is approachable, welcoming, and loving. I appreciate being in a community where my faith is challenged and deepened while constantly reminded of the call to reach and serve our city! If you are looking for a church in Bend, check Westside Church! I hope you find your community here and jump in to serve!
Westside is an authentic kind of community. I walk through the doors each Sunday and feel no need to pretend, mostly due to the culture that’s been fostered that values vulnerability over pretense and inviting Jesus into the real messiness of life.
I am very involved in Women's Bible studies and adult gatherings at our church, but I am so impressed by the quality of the care and quality of teaching that is offered to our children and teens at Westside. I have grandchildren ranging in age from the late teens down to two years old. While they were visiting this year, I peeked in on the Sunday morning youth classes and on the toddler and preschool classes. In every classroom, the teachers were great and the facilities were too. This really is a church for the entire family!
My family and I visited this church after not going to any church for almost a decade. The community, leadership, and message are why we now go regularly.
This is a very loving environment that offers support for someone in every walk in life. I love being a member of this community.
Westside church is extremely welcoming and is full immersed in the following of Jesus. It’s one of the only place that feels like a second, or I guess third home to me (my parents house being the second home). The thing I most appreciate is that the church feels completely Spirit lead and fully embraces the idea that community is massively important.
You can tell that God is guiding the lead pastors on which way to go next in teachings, in outreach, in small group settings, etc. I went years ago for the first time as a young adult and very introverted and closed off, I didn’t like talking to new people, it was really people that began to befriend me as I continued to attend that changed a lot of my perspectives and outlooks. Now over 7 years later many of those same people are now what I would call my second family.
A community that provides a welcoming environment for all who come through the doors. Families with kids will be blown away by the staff and volunteers. Great bible study groups and outreach programs to support our community and international communities.
I cannot say enough how much Westside Church has been an answer to prayer. The teaching is very spot on scripturally. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I LOVE this church and proudly call it my home church.
