Willamette Valley Periodontics reviews
12 My recent visit was a better experience than from my previous visit. For Willamette Valley to receive 5 stars the office needs to reinstate the 5% discount for prepaying out of pocket services.
The care I receive from Dr. Hofbauer and her staff has been excellent, but I paid out of pocket twice from this office due to inconsistencies with them checking my available coverage and discounting the information I told them in order to ensure payment through my dental coverage.
I had some serious damage and decay going on, and needed the dreaded scaling and planing process to halt the disease progress. Jennifer (the poor technician assigned to me) and was simply phenomenal in her skill, tact, and helpfulness during the procedure and exceptionally patient and caring for the follow-up visit. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Graser and his staff. Jennifer in particular!
Dr Colin and his entire team are amazing! Professional, on time, precise with the work, and fair with the costs associated with all procedures I had done the past two years. I was referred to another periodontist who gave me an outrageous quote while Dr Colin gave me a full explanation of what I needed and what it would cost which was far less than the previous Sr. I am very satisfied with the results and highly recommend Dr Colin Fraser and team!
The new "water cleaning was not a good experience.something akin to waterboarding, which has been deemed a no no torture. Felt like I was drowning. The initial "painting" of teeth to show where bacteria lurks seems totally unnecessary. The mouth expander that fits under lips and increases accessibility for hygienist, is awful for patient - makes it hard to swallow during water pressure cleaning. Not a good experience.
I really like Dr Graser. IMO he’s a huge improvement in that he’s very personable and approachable. Nettie has done a great job on my last two cleanings and has shared a lot of helpful tips.
My experience today was great like usually. The staff are AWESOME, I recommend going here. Love to all
Updating after a previous post. The office reached out and fixed all issues which I very much appreciated.
A very thorough exam was performed followed by a comprehensive discussion regarding options for future care. I was impressed.
The staff was very warm and welcoming and Dr Graser was wonderful! Very friendly and thorough. I loved how he fully listened to what I had to say and came up with a great treatment plan for me and was great at explaining the process for that treatment plan! Made me feel very comfortable…10/10!
Excellent office very clean and organized. Staff is incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. Had surgery done on a back molar and Dr Colin went above and beyond to make sure everything went smooth. Hands down best dental office around!
My daughter has had multiple surgeries at this office. Some have had great results so have not. We will not be returning for a few reasons. One being that at nearly every fallow up appointment the doctor looks at the wrong area and the nurses have to correct him. The second is there billing makes no sense.
Because of how expensive these surgeries are we have made it a point to find out exactly what our portion of the bill was going to be prior to any surgeries and paid prior to the surgery to make sure we had the funds in our flexible spending account to cover each surgery. Now all of a sudden 9 months later they're telling us we owe over $2000 for a surgery that happened back in January. It's been about 2 weeks ago they called and sent a bill making us aware of this, to our knowledge we where paid in full. She has had a few more surgeries since January. I requested they sent me a detailed bill to try and make heads or tails of what we owed, (because i do recall receiving a check from the insurance company and a refund from the office that i drove down there and made sure wasn't a mistake) they did that. Now I'm trying to get ahold of them to have them go over it with me so i can pay the portion that I can see we might owe. Now I am told every time (2 weeks in a row) that the office manager is not in and at this point I'm being told she should be in on Wednesday of next week AND SHE'S THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN HANDLE IT.
Update, I have been in touch with the doctor and his office manager since I posted this. They have both gone out of there way to help me work through the crazyness of insurance. I'm confident moving forward this will be resolved. I do believe the core of the problem is insurance, which Kahra has worked on with use extensively at this point. Only time will tell if insurance comes through or not. I truly appreciate them taking time out of there busy schedule to help get this resolved.
