I can't explain how wonderful these individuals have been. From the hospice home (tokarski), to the bereavement therapy that I personally am currently going through. Oh the employees are amazing with compassion and understanding.
They took such good care of my mom while she had her stay. They answered so many of my questions, which I know I had so many but they were so patient with me. Took great care of my mom and she always pushed her button, due to anxiety due to not being able to breath. Bless her soul. The home was inviting and a beautiful room with a nice place with a patio for your loved one to look out of. I was SO happy for MY mom.
I am SO happy with the lady who I'm doing therapy with.
I am just so please. I can't express my thank you's enough.

Family member had Pancreatic Cancer at young age and died 3.5 months after diagnosis. Had recent hospitalization lasting 11 days, which tells you hospice decision did not come easily. When we pulled into the driveway the Hospice nurse was there and waiting. Family Member was very ill with breathing difficulties and agitation. This was a very intense situation, and RN came in with a calm demeaner that helped put the family at ease. She worked intently on the client making sure he had enough medication and even had to call Hospice for more orders to give additional medication. I know she was busy, everyone is understaffed these days, but she stayed and made sure we were set and comfortable. Never did we feel rushed or like a number. With her comment, I will not be leaving until he is comfortable… we all took a deep sigh and knew we were in good hands. Only once the client was comfortable did she begin the intake/paperwork process and we began to discuss the plan for the next few days. Very thorough with many pauses so family could ask questions.

Client did remain comfortable for the next few hours and then needed more medication. Call was placed to the on call staff and I found that they were extremely patient and caring, offering a visit and suggestions to help with pain control. They also said they would call back in an hour to check in, which they did. The on call nurse also checked in a few hours later because she was in the area for another client, again offering another visit.

The client did pass away that night, very peacefully. When hospice was called they were very supportive and took care of everything and again offered a visit. Again very calm, caring, and helpful.

Every single person that we came in contact with was very professional and caring. Never rushed, I never felt like my questions were unimportant or stupid. I am very impressed with your service and compassionate level of care.

Thank You all for making a difficult situation bearable. May your service thrive and continue to evolve with this changing healthcare environment. A challenge for sure.

Thank you isn’t enough! Your team is amazing! Bless you all.

WVH has served 6 of my family members, the most recent being my grandmother in November 2022. Each time our family has had to go through this difficult life experience, we have been met with with compassion and expertise. Having knowledgeable staff walk beside us through this hard time made a huge difference for our family. I also appreciate the follow up by the Grief Care team and all the extra services that are provided. Music therapy made a big difference for my Nana, in particular.
