Windy River Computers, Hood River OR

I've been in this shop several times over the years with computer "issues". Perry has always been very helpful, personable, and real; he's always gone out of his way to help me, the customer. Recently I left my laptop overnight with Perry to have bugs removed for an agreed-upon, flat rate. When I picked up my computer the next day the final bill was less than the flat rate because "it didn't take him as long as he thought it would". He could have charged me the full amount and I never would have been the wiser, but he didn't. I will definitely go back to Windy River Computers for all of my computing needs.

My husband and I are traveling and only in Hood River for one month. My 2013 Mac had become soooooo slow. Perry had it repaired to lightening speed within 24 hours. He sat with me when I dropped it off and again when I picked it up- no hurry and shared alot of valuable information on how to avoid viruses in the future and "computer health". He also teased with me about a music intervention- I left with a refreshed computer and a much better play list (in my defense the music was from when my kids were in middle school-theirs). If anyone wants a new Netflix series they could honestly do one form the Windy River Computer office Perry and his assistant Wilma are hilarious! I highly recommend this business for any computer needs.

Great experience. Perry is definitely more interested in helping people solve their computer problems then making a profit.

Don't even think about it.just go to Windy River Computers and be amazed. Perry's shop is the absolute best thing you can do for yourself if you are interested in doing anything/everything with computers. Period.

My computer crashed, and was found to be unfixable, I bought a new one from windy river, and that purchase came along with, a great amount of support from Perry the owner. Without that support i would have been lost. Perry is old school.customer service minded, and helpful.a refreshing experience from the usual theses days. -

I called this place. He convinced me to come take a look at a laptop he had for sale. It is difficult for me to come there but decided to do it. After getting there he said he didn't want to turn it on cause he would haveto spend an hour redoing the factory install. Really? Oh oh wow ok. I have never heard that line before. Aren't you trying to sell or are you keeping for show maybe. They are a bit high price but maybe ok for hood river dont know.

In a showroom I expect to see product before purchasing right.
There was a 50 percent chance I would have bought it.

Perry is great. He'll look at your computer and be truthful about fixing or replacing it. Technically flawless, fairlooky priced, reliable and trustworthy. What more can you ask for?

Visited recently, amazing people. Helped me with a computer that wouldn't start that I had put my hear and soul into, And I am grateful.

Every time I've visited here over the years, I am impressed with how professional and friendly Perry is. I'd been having problems with my laptop for some time, so I brought it in and he had it fixed within the hour. I'm sure other places would charge double or even triple what he asked for, and then take a week to fix it.

I cannot recommend this place enough if you're in Hood River with a computer problem!

My computer recently fell victim to a power surge. Due to the coronovirus and the high risk group I find myself in, I was unable to bring my computer to the store myself but my son, who has had excellent experience at Windy River, brought my computer for Perry (he and his wife own Windy River) to look at. It became apparent that I needed a new one. I'm not well versed in what to look for in a computer and was worried about not being able to personally look at computers, but, through phone conversations, Perry walked me through the whole process and was able to get me exactly what I was looking for. Fortunately the hard drive in my old computer wasn't destroyed so he transferred everything from the old computer to the new one and set it all up so the transition was extremely easy. He was so friendly and helpful. He was willing to spend as much time as necessary to help me. I highly recommend this business. You won't be disappointed.

Holy wow! Apple wouldn’t even look at my laptop that wouldn’t start for under $400. Perry got my laptop to start in 15 minutes and only charged me $25. Sooooo grateful! So patient and helpful!

Perry transferred the documents and photos from my dead laptop's hard drive to my new laptop quickly and for a very reasonable price.
