Wonderful little shop, well stocked. Everything you expect from ACE, packed in a smaller store.

The store itself is great- well, except the expansive nursery area that features a wide selection of dead and dying plants.
The one star is for the crude and unhelpful staff. I believe that the store got new owners a year or two ago and the customer service went so far downhill that I won't go there any more, even though it is 5 blocks from my house.
I actually made an exception yesterday (12/12/22) because I really needed something but a sales guy just stood there (no hello or welcome) eyeing me like I might steal something and then finally sauntered over and said "Whaddaya need? " in an unhelpful tone.

HEY WOODSTOCK HARDWARE: you are a neighborhood store, not the Clackamas Home Depot. Try acting neighborly- and you might keep some customers.

Once again these guys delivered! I went in with a picture of a kitchen sink drainage mess, and Jordan assessed the problem and gave me the perfect fittings and guidance to fix the problem. Highly recommended.

I truly hate going to the hardware store because I typically know little to nothing about what it is I'm trying to do and what I need. I went to Woodstock Ace Hardware & Garden twice this weekend, just because I happened to be nearby. Both times, I was approached immediately by employees offering to help. Both times, because of their help, I was able to quickly get what I needed. I then wandered around the store and found that they have a little bit of everything and it's not at all intimidating. I eavesdropped on a conversation between what was obviously a regular customer and an employee while they discussed pros and cons of different products, and it all just felt exactly like a neighborhood hardware store should feel! In the future, I will happily drive 20 minutes out of my way to come here so that I don't feel overwhelmed and stupid.

They're always helpful. Went above and beyond on Sunday helping with a plumbing project that gets me by until I can do a permanent fix. Thanks!

Service and expertise that puts the big hardware stores to shame. This small store somehow always has everything I need.

Drove 40min to the store because they had several Weber performer deluxe listed on the website of various colors available for same day pick up. The store attendant informed me they are out of all colors and have been for awhile but the website doesn’t update quickly. How can Ace compete with Home Depot if this is how the online services work?

I will update this review if I am contacted and told this changes. For now I suggest calling ahead… old school. Or going somewhere else.

Love this place. Staff are very friendly and very eager to help. Nice selection of tools and other things you would expect to find in neighborhood hardwares store. Their garden center is pretty nice to.
