Gift Shop Woonwinkel reviews
18What you’d expect of a boutique store - modern and artsy collection. Not much that is local (some jewelry pieces that were).
This exact aesthetic became embarrassingly outdated in 2019, but people over 32 still go hog-wild for it.i admire this store's noble commitment to keeping it alive, though!
Obsessed with this place! Modern scandi lovers this is your place for home decor. Always something new to love every time I come in. Truly a joyful shopping experience.
Really cool shop with tons of stylish, modern items for home and fun creative toys for kids. Wonderful place to purchase presents! I recently got some earrings and a vase there. I accidentally left the earrings I was wearing behind and they were kind enough to ship them back to me. Will definitely return the next time I'm in the Portland area!
Cute store with a variety of home goodies. I love the vibrancy of their products. It’s worth checking out!
The hiring process here is extremely unprofessional. You are expected to do all of the reaching out and communicating yourself, even when they gave a date they would get back to you.
Great store with a variety of colorful items in a variety of price ranges. I got a great pair of $40 earrings that I'm so excited to wear. They have wooden toys, thermoses, throw pillows and all kinds of dishes. Nice staff!
One of my very favorite shops in Portland. You can find a gift for just about any (stylish) person here.
I love this highly curated, colorful shop. It may be the funnest place to shop in Portland, with absolutely stunning and high quality pieces that have a touch of whimsy and magic to them.
Cool Portland gift shop with unique items you won’t find anywhere else. Really neat expert level puzzles, hipster housewares and such. Def recommend.
Very amazing spot, love the curation. A little museum. Very colorful spot, lots of magical items. Such friendly staff, and they provide a free mask which I appreciated. Thank you guys: D
Almost went inside to buy the cute glasses by the window but was stopped by a note saying that masks are still required here, a month after the state mandate got lifted. Figured others would want a heads up about that.
Really loved this shop. Everything was super cute. Clean. Friendly staff. I picked up this really neat wire frame bear and a cute rug. Happy I wandered into this store.
Five stars for amazing customer service. Everyone I interacted with at Woonwinkel was so kind and patient in helping me exchange an in-store purchase through the mail. Their selection is amazing, and the store is lovely. I bought the best planner I have ever seen, gorgeous locally made earrings, and two delightful bamboo plates! I can’t wait to buy from them again.
Cute little design boutique two steps away from Powell's bookstore. They have a curated collection of home goods from many different brands, from tablewares to textiles to toys. I enjoy browsing around, although I find the offerings here a little too broad in terms of styles and functions.
One of my favorite stores in Portland. Don't get to stop in enough! Beautiful, modern home goods and jewelry.
I purchased a product online over the holidays and it arrived damaged from shipping. I emailed the store, they immediately replied, and mailed me a replacement product. They were so friendly and I couldn't be happier with their customer service. Thank you!
I can’t speak to the in-person shopping experience but I do not recommend that you purchase online. I have been ill with likely long-hauler covid and very stressed as many of us are and decided to splurge and get myself a few things from Woonwinkel to treat myself. The items I ordered are sold elsewhere online but I try to support small businesses like this as much as possible because of the human aspect. This has been disappointing. USPS clearly lost my package and I emailed the shop asking for help. They responded three days later to say I was basically on my own. “Per our policy, we are not responsible for what happens to your package once it leaves our facility. The best we can do is assist you with the claims process should you choose to go that route and require assistance. “ I asked friends who own similar shops about their policies on such situations and they were really surprised at woonwinkel’s policy and attitude. So, now, instead of having splurged on a treat, I threw away $68 on what will likely end up just being extra stress. I’m sharing this as a warning to anyone else who is considering buying from them online.
