Wyeth Campground reviews
12Camp host is not trimming the trees back so they scratch RVs. Hear some road noise but a nice spot. I really like campground and location, sad no one is trimming the trees.
Excellent place for camping. Loved the waterfall at the end of the of creek. My family and I go there every summer and always hike up to the waterfall. Last summer I found Quartz, Chalcedony, and Geodes there. At night, the view of the Milky Way is absolutely beautiful. It is also very close to Cascade Locks and Hood RIver in case we need to buy something we forgot. I really recommend this place.:)
BEAUTIFUL I would highly recommend if you want to commune with nature. Several different species of birds visited us as well. Nice clean campgrounds at a fair price.
We went to wyeth during july 2019. It is a pretty decent campground.
It does not have columbia river access.
Pets are allowed.
Restrooms were decent as well.
Bit of a interstate noise.
We were just unlucky that the week we went there, the power went off one night, so the next morning there was no flushable water in the toilets which caused some issues. Other than that it was pretty good location wise.
Our site was #12 which was very big. We fit 3 cars, 3 tents (2 of them 3 person, 1 4 person) with still plenty of room left for another tent and a small car.
And we luckily had a tap just opposite to our site which was the only running tap water in the whole site due to some drainage issue.
There are super markets nearby like 15 minutes drive. You can go many places to hike nearby or just relax beside the columbia river near cascade locks. Multnomah falls is a good point to visit if you are here.
Clean campground. Park host was right on top of things and helpful. Bathrooms were clean and had great hand dryers.
I just went there on Friday 2nd August I didn't even know this new place exists or it's a rebuilt old place not sure it's nice and I really truly hope everybody takes care of it they really went out of their way to fix this place up and make a nice area for people to ride bikes and be able to go on walks take your kids and companions yeah I give it five stars it's laid out school the way the Old Highway was and they just really made it look Pleasant if you get a chance go on the Old Highway 30 I would stop by there and just be kind of amazed at how they kept everything the way it should be little bit of modern but still very old school and thanks to all those that work with the Forestry Department and Land Management did really intelligent with the money and I think when other people stop by you'll be praised for your efforts.thanks again from the Old Baron out and about
Beautiful place. The trails have great views- even though the waterfall trail is closed.
If not for the noise of other campers and hearing the traffic, would give 5 stars. Easy access on and off the highway though. About a 20 minute drive to Multnomah Falls.
This campground is a gem compared to many others I visited in Colorado. Quick access to hiking and of course Pikes peak is nearby.
We had a great time at the campground. We had the large group site. The bath rooms were close as was the water spigot. Right off of I 84 little over an hour from Portland and not too far from Hood River. A good idea in the summers to bring your own yellow jacket traps because they were everywhere and they will interfere with all of your fun and food preparation. Remember bring yellow jacket traps can buy them anywhere. Loved it but had a great weekend of survivor super cool
If you just need a place to pop your tent, it was fine. We were told that each campsite could hold twelve people but ours could barely hold half that. Luckily for us the rest of our group backed out at the last min or else people would have been sleeping in their cars since there was no actual room to place a tent in our designated area. There was a bathroom close by which was nice. Decently clean. Not a horrible stay but would have been better if we had an appropriate sized area for our camping group
Lush green campground. Awesome place
U can hear the traffic of i84 amd if you are staying long in the campground u will miss the bath. Closest one is cascade rocks campground for the bath
Your basic no frills camp ground. No water hookup and no electricity. Come prepared with all supplies needed. Grounds do not have showers either. The flying bugs are everywhere so expect to get bitten.
