One of the best tattoo places in the burgh! James Roberts is the best!

This review is not in response to the work done by the artists at the shop because the work they do looks amazing- hence why I wanted to go there. No, this is in response to the customer service. I’ve been wanting another tattoo and this place seemed really awesome. I picked a specific artist (James) and emailed the shop generically stating I’d like to work with him- and then him specifically with some photos for reference. Several days went by with no response from the shop or him. I finally get an email from someone not even listed on the artist page saying James passed my info along to him and he can book in August. I followed up asking if James wasn’t taking appointments or something, and have received no response.

The whole experience is very disappointing as it makes it feel like what I want isn’t extravagant or detailed or expensive enough to get attention from this guy. Very off-putting. There are 1000 amazingly skilled artists in this city and I’m sure they’d like to take my money.

My favorite tattoo shop. Just started going here. Very clean. Excellent decor. Barber shop like set up. Great place for an all day session or dropping in for some flash. The owner is extremely nice and professional.

James is an exceptional tattoo artist who is also a perfectionist when it comes to achieving your tattoo expectations. As a Healthcare worker myself, I noticed the staff's superior cleaning standards between clients. James does amazing line work and beautiful, anatomically correct realism. I am looking forward to getting more tattoos done by him in the near future.
