I cannot say enough positive things about this dealership. We saw a specific car we wanted for sale online and knew nothing about the dealership. As soon as we got there we were asked if we wanted to test drive the vehicle, no questions asked. ZERO haggling or pressure. We loved the car but the exterior needed some love. Come to find out you can do a lot with buffing & waxing and fix the exterior of a car for a reasonable price. They gave us a great deal on the car and never once tried to hit us over the head. It was very cut and dry- which I appreciate. We came with our own pre approved financing so it was very easy. Everyone dreads buying a car due to the car sales man shpeal. Well you can rest assured you will be treated with excellent respect and care at 83 auto. Marina was great!

Really flexible and willing to work with me to iron out the details of my car purchase. I came from out of town on a Saturday and Sherin and Mariam stayed past closing to finish the deal and make sure I went home with the car that day. No pressure to buy, though, which was great.

It's a used car lot. Something or other is going to be wrong with the car you're looking at, and it's on you to find it. The one I came for had one broken power window, one taillight out, and a buzzing sound at a certain engine RPM I suspect is a loose heat shield or some other exhaust component that needs tightening. All minor problems. They brought the price down a bit and threw in a free warranty, which I appreciated.

You need to look over any used car thoroughly before purchasing to find these things, and can't expect the dealer to know about them. Inevitably down the line things are going to crop up that neither you nor the dealer knew about. Such are the gremlins that come with any used car purchase.

Things I wish I'd known:
•The hours at their door are different from the ones listed on Maps. They seem to close at 4pm on Saturdays.
•They don't accept personal checks.
•The cars don't appear to be detailed or cleaned by the dealership, so you basically get them in the state they were in at auction. This may seem like a bad thing, but it allows for a fair assessment of how the previous owner treated the car. You don't have to worry, for instance, that splattering under the hood has been cleaned up or rust has been covered.
•The dealer fee is built into the sticker price. This was a pleasant surprise, as I ended up paying several hundred dollars less than I'd expected to.

Things that felt a little dishonest:
•Several employees have left 5-star reviews for the dealership without acknowledging they work there, including Peter Hanna who owns the dealership, Mariam, and Sherin.
•They tried to convince me that fixing a power window is a $100 repair, and that the part is $30. I've had personal experience with mechanics charging $400 to try and fail to fix a power window, and a quick Google search is all it takes to see that $400-$600 is the typical asking price for that repair, including both parts and labor. I didn't end up pushing this since I hoped the warranty would reimburse some of it, but learning more about the warranty company, I wish I had.
•The dealership offers warranty service contracts through CARS Protection Plus, a local company with a 1.1 star average on TrustPilot. I don't generally have high expectations of third-party car warranties, but a partnership with a more reputable provider like CarShield would have made me feel better. As it were, I doubt I'll get much use out of the warranty. I took it since it was free, but I wouldn't buy it, and I definitely wouldn't pay for a longer extended contract or higher level of coverage.

83 Autos had the exact car I wanted at the best price point in the state. As with any used car purchase, you need to be careful, ask questions, and know that any car is inevitably going to have some problems. With that in mind, Sherin and Mariam were a pleasure to deal with, the price was fantastic, and I'm always happy to support a family business. Thanks for the great car!

The great people down at 83 Autos were super kind and helpful throughout the process and they made it as easy as possible for me. There is a reason this place doesn’t do warranties. I got my car 8 months ago, they clear the codes and misfires off of all their vehicles, 8 months after buying it my radiator blew, it takes 8-10 years for a radiator to go bad. The battery that had came with the car wasn’t even the right battery for the vehicle. The spark plugs were done for, and now the engine might be blown and i’m paying for a car that I can’t even drive. They also bribe you with money to leave a positive review.

Great experience. We bought two cars very good price. Pete took very good care of us. Everyone here was super sweet they were quick and inefficient great experience will definitely do it again
