A Journey to You...LLC reviews
12I have greatly appreciated the friendly and inviting atmosphere created by the staff at the facility, and I found that the therapists there are genuine people looking out for your best interests, which is extremely important to me.
I had been working with my therapist for 4 years, and she helped me process so much trauma and my abandonment fears. And then A Journey To You handled my situation- as well as many others- in the most unethical manner possible. I get out of work to see a voicemail that my therapist left and to call back immediately to be rescheduled with someone new. I was so triggered, I couldn’t even do anything for hours but cry. I cannot believe that knowing the clients my therapists treats and the severe traumas we have lived through were completely disregarded. My therapist is no longer at this practice, and I have left to continue our work together. In the future, let your clinicians communicate a change like this with their patients. Why a “mental health professional” would deny a trauma therapist access to their patients prior to firing them is beyond me. This was EXTREMELY triggering. I can’t imagine how others in my position felt, who have not had access to therapy for as long as I have.
Twice now I've been scheduled for a telehealth appointment and they've failed to attend. I've only seen the therapist once. First time they were out sick. Second time they failed to post the appointment on their portal after changing it to telehealth.
I'd let it slide if they weren't charging a large fee whenever the client misses an appointment without giving 24 hours notice.
A journey to you is exceptional in every way shape and form. From the beautiful design of the building you feel comforted the instant you step foot in the door. The staff is so genuine and kind to your needs. Bethanne is absolutely amazing at what she does and really helps out with you concerns and worries. I wouldn’t choose any other place but this one to come to.
My therapist was wonderful, she helped me through a lot and during all of Covid-19. I was sad to leave, only because of the rapport I built with my therapist in over 1.5 years. However, the billing practices here are horrible. I was struggling to afford therapy already and in a rough place financially due to health complications. I had to cancel my appointment because money was too tight that week and they charged me almost twice as much as therapy because I called 23 hours before my appointment instead of 24 hours beforehand. Apparently they are strict to the exact minute. If someone had mentioned this on the phone when I wasted my time calling in, I would have just went to the session and saved myself some money. They make no exceptions, are not lenient at all and act like they have no say in the matter which is ridiculously false. They also bill super randomly without notice and that was very frustrating.
I've been coming here on and off for 8 years. I've tried other practices in the past, but this one surpasses all my other experiences! The owner, Bethanne, cares deeply for her clients, and the staff is amazing! Especially after covid, having the telehealth option is so important. It's allowed me to have frequent appointments so I don't have to travel to town. I've grown in so many ways from the services at A Journey to You, and highly recommend Bethanne's team to anyone!
A warm friendly environment with a caring staff including a golden doodle. They were super accommodating during the pandemic, highly recommend!
A certain therapist I had (won’t say her name but she knows who she is) is a scammer! She took advantage of me at my most vulnerable moments and gave up on me as a client and told me to stop showing up. The minute I stop showing up she charges me for the sessions she told me not to come to. When I told the front desk she lied and they took her side. Still getting charged to this day. Place is a scam.
This is a very great place to seek services. I’ve felt welcome from day one when I called in and spoke to the office staff. They are very patient and very kind and actually care about each and every one of their clients at A Journey To You.
Despite the other low star reviews, I decided to give this place the benefit of a doubt and give this a try anyway. I can say now that I agree with them and will not recommend them to anyone. Reception would not answer my calls on purpose after a few attempts (even picked up once and they hung up before I could talk). I tried letting them know to take me off their new patient list but no response. I never leave reviews let alone low ones, but I have now. I really was hoping to like this place.
I would not recommend this place to anybody. A guy receptionist was so unprofessional and rude, he started screaming at me on the phone. The owner then got on the phone and started saying the same thing he said but in a condescending way, is that how you run your business? Making people who want help feel bad for it? Steering clear of places like this!
Used to go there for therapy. Stopped for a while due to a busy travel schedule last summer. They removed me from their current patient list, and told me I need to go back on the wait list. I’ve been on it since the fall. Just found out here in April that they are accepting new clients, I called both offices, and I confirmed that to be true but was told by one office that they would need to call me back “in 30 minutes” because they were on the other line, and the other office said they would have to call me back “in 15 minutes” because they we having issues with WiFi. Never received a call back, and I plan to seek counseling elsewhere.
Praying for you, BethAnne. We are in the middle of a Global Crisis.
