A Long Term Companion

Our family feels very fortunate to have found Long Term Companion to give 24 hour care to our precious mother. She had always been a fully independent and joyful person, but through a sudden series of undiagnosed health issues, needed live in care for the first time in her life.

We were very concerned about the compatibility, reliability, and professionalism of the caretaker that would be assigned to our mom’s case. However, Cheryl Herman gave us her undivided attention in understanding our mom’s medical needs, as well as her social and emotional needs, and matched her with Joanna Duwana, the perfect and most wonderful Caretaker we could’ve hoped for, for our mom.

Joanna became a trusted friend and much loved part of our family. She assisted our mom for seven months as a live in companion and became one of our mom’s best and dearest friends, staying with our mom until she was fully independent again.

We cannot speak highly enough of the care and love Joanna provided to our mom and the gift that she was to our whole family, or to the excellent attentiveness of Cheryl Herman in being available to listen and attend to all our concerns and for assigning a caretaker that could provide for all the needs of our mother.

I would recommend Long Term companion! My family first used them for my mom. She had Parkinson's and needed 24hr live in care. CHERYL helped us find the perfect match for mom. Sadly after almost 2yrs with TT mom passed away. Dad moved and we needed care for him. It was with no hesitation we called Long Term companion. CHERYL made me feel comfortable (again) and got the perfect match for dad. These woman are not just "aids" but they become part of the family.

I could not say enough enough about the owner Cheryl Herman, she is so professional, always picks up your call and knows what our families are going thru, very compassionate. Cheryl and a Long Term Companion have been absolutely incredible. We have used other agencies before, and have never felt so accommodated and cared for as we do with Cheryl and her caretakers. I would recommend them to anyone.

Michele Kilstein at ALTC was extremely helpful in the process of getting 24-7 support for our 94 year old mother by herself in her house. All along the way, she was full of information, resources, and support. The caregivers that ALTC provided were uniformly friendly, skilled and supportive of my mother and our family.

A Long Term Companion has gone above and beyond for me. I contacted the agency and spoke with Cheryl this past Friday, and today the live-in for my parents arrived at 2: 00 p.m. The contract was prepared, signed, and sealed this past Monday.
