A Mano Eatery reviews
16Last week my grandfather passed away and I wanted to host a lunch at my house for my family after the funeral. I called all around Armstrong county to various restaurants for catering. No business was able to take my order due to being busy during the holiday season. Angelo and his staff were so accomodating and took my order even though they were also extremely busy. The food was ready on time for us to pick up and the food was absolutely delicious. I cannot thank them enough for doing such an amazing job.
This has become our favorite place to eat. Food is ALWAYS good and beautifully presented. Staff is personable. Angelo and Lucas (chefs) are masters at their craft. The desserts are homemade and always delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Why go to Pittsburgh when you have A Mano's in Kittanning?
After seeing their Oktober Fest menu on Facebook and reviewing their website, my family and I took a 45 minute drive this past Saturday to give A Mano Eatery a try. However, upon arrival at 5: 15, we were told you myst have reservations. I told them that was strange because neither their website or Facebook stated reservations were required. I then requested takeout for all of us and again, was denied. Mind you, there were less than a dozen people in the restaurant. We drive 15 minutes down the road to The Villa, that was packed. 20 minute wait but were not turned away. I then called A Mano Eatery. No answer but their message said reservations recommended BUT NOT REQUIRED!
We will not return.
Authentic Italian cuisine offered by Angelo Mantini and staff. Homemade.handmade breads.sauces. Pastas.soups and desserts. Menu offerings change daily. You will LOVE everything here!
This was our time dining here, everything was just wonderful, the owner Angelo was so personable, as well as the entire staff enjoyed sharing our stories about visiting Italy. Cant wait to go back
Amazing food and accommodating want to thank them so much for holding my finances grandmother's memorial dinner since it was her favorite spot
Their soups are excellent. They make the best cinnamon rolls I've ever eaten, and the chocolate expresso scones are wonderful.
Anniversary dinner was awesome! Food was cooked perfectly. Wine was awesome! Will come back again!
What can I say about this place?
Well, it's a beautiful place. Angelo and staff are extremely friendly.
The food was amazing. We will definitely be back.
Thank you Angelo for a great experience.
A great place to enjoy a lunch or dinner. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients which are locally sourced. The menu varies with the seasons to acquire the freshest harvested ingredients. It is certainly a Quality place to experience and dine.
Staff very friendly and helpful, The girl who helped me at the counter was super sweet, the baked goods are great and I will be stopping in for lunch or dinner and let you know more
Everytime my friends and us plan to dine here on Saturday evening at 6PM, they are closed. The store front sign and the website state that they are open. We have a gift card that we have yet to be able to use and we are about to toss it in the Allegheny River and laugh! Qual e il problema?
Unfortunately wasn’t the best experience. $105 for three people, and it wasn’t great. Menu is VERY limited, which is fine if the food you make is good. Ordered a steak, chicken piccata, and parmesan pasta. The steak was average. Not much flavor and kinda hard to chew. And the parmesan sauce was incredibly watery and had no seasoning. It wouldn’t even coat the noodles it was so watery. Had to add a decent amount of salt and pepper to give it any type of flavor. The bread on the table was hard from sitting there all day. (Bread is on the tables before you even sit and there is one on every table and they make you pay for butter). Atmosphere is stuffy and loud… On the plus side, their house salad dressing is decent.
This place is on our Top 5 for Italian Restaurants.
Service was great. We were from out of town and the chef/owner took the time to stop by our table and talk to us about our experience.
Made dinner reservations on Friday for Saturday night at 7: 30. The place was packed and we were seated on time which was very nice. This is an eatery (casual dining) and not a restaurant. If you are looking for a quite candle lit romantic dinner this isn't the place. It's loud, it's friendly and it's very casual.
The Food:
Fried Calamari - lightly battered and fried perfectly.
Saku Tuna Carpaccio - High quality tuna
Rigatoni Ragu - Pasta cooked perfectly. Sauce was great and the mascarpone cheese was a nice touch. Portion was plenty for dinner and lunch the next day.
Veal Vespucci - Veal was great with a light breading. The mushroom brandy cream sauce was rich and flavorful.
Wine prices are very reasonable as well.
Overall a great family owned eatery that is worth a visit.
Great place in the heart of Kittanning. I did my best to save room for dessert, hoping for Canolli or something chocolate. The only 2 offerings were Lemon Merangue Pie and Burnt Almond Torte which we didn't try. The pasta was delicious. The halibut and the lamb chops got high praise from my dining companions.
Fresh ingredients, technically well executed dishes. Desserts were the highlight. Dining room was exceptionally loud, which made conversation near impossible. The live piano player is a fun touch, but it makes the noise levels too loud as everyone is fighting to talk over the music.
