I’ve been working for Peace Of Mind for about 2 months now and the name of the company truly speaks for itself! Tanya (the owner) has been amazing since day one! She really cares for her employees just as much as all the clients we take on. She is very quick to respond to anything we may need. Christina also is very quick to respond and get done whatever needs to be done with scheduling. Everyone is just so easy to get along with and we also have a lot of great employees. I highly recommend the company whether for employment or for care!

Pernice is terrific. She's punctual, easy to get along with and does some cleaning and heats up my dinner and brings it to me. She is smart and a good conversationalist. If I need services again I will ask for her. She's a keeper!

I am immensely disappointed as to how I was just treated as an employee. I found out that my client passed away last week and was informed by the client’s wife after I arrived to the home this morning. Being that I truly bonded with the client and family, I was disheartened by this news. After sharing my frustrations with the scheduler and the owner, they had absolutely no regard for how this situation was emotionally difficult and how detrimental this form of miscommunication was. Both parties told me that I should’ve checked my schedule. The scheduler says she “assumed” that I was aware of the news because the other caregivers were aware. However, the caregivers were allegedly present at the time of my client’s passing which leaves me clueless without proper communication from office leadership. I’ve had no issues up to this point with the company, however if this is how they treat sensitive situations in home care and the owner condones this way of resolving employee related issues, I would recommend thinking twice about their organizational culture when applying.

Peace of Mind provided just that, in such an exceptional way that far exceeded even my own high expectations. When faced with a sudden need to have additional support for my parents - still living on their own at home, with one in hospice care and the other the primary caregiver - we engaged Tanya on a weekend before the Thanksgiving holiday who came out to their home to meet with us on a Sunday. On Monday, we were introduced to Zenaida A.for a brief "meeting and greet" and by the end of her first day with my parents on Tuesday, she was a trusted and invaluable member of the extended family, easing a tremendous burden at just the right time. Over the next week and half we were also introduced to Tyana R.and Kehana L.who provided a seamless and exceptional level of care who were also quickly embraced like trusted long-time caring friends. As Christmas approached it was clear our one parent was beginning "the transition" and our 7-day-a-week, 8-hour-a-day support would need to be expanded to 24/7 support, and Peace of Mind's Scheduling Manager, Cristina, was immediately and fully engaged and had added Ruby and Nevea to Zenaida's "team" of caregivers at the house who, once again, provided a seamless level of empathetic, professional and warmly delivered care and support to the family at a very difficult time. Throughout the engagement Zenaida A.was clearly the "lead" and created an amazing partnership with the hospice nurses and nurses aid that provided my parents the ability to achieve their goal: the comfortable, quite passing of a parent at home surrounded by loving and caring people.and Peace of Mind became the key to all of that. We could not have done it without Tanya's vision to create such a wonderful team of care providers, Cristina's ability to always be responsive with fantastic communications, and the team of care givers with our beloved Zanaida who spend the most time with my folks throughout the initial engagement fully-engaged and checking-in even when she wasn't "on the clock" far exceeded our expectations. Having turned the page in my parent's life story, we're now trying to find a new tempo for future care as we know we'll need their support going forward, but do so with the upmost confidence that we made the right choice.

I highly recommend Ariel as a caregiver, my great great grandmother loves her and always looks forward to spending her days with her. Ariel goes above and beyond with her care!

Have been using A Peace of Mind Home Care for over a year, I can only say good things. I have recommended them to others in need. Tanya and her employees are kind, considerate and loving. The owner, Tanya is so thoughtful and will do whatever needs to be done for the patient and family. They take me where I need to go, run errands, clean my home and make my meals. I have bonded with them and they make me feel like family.

The staff at Peace of Mind – all of them – have been so caring and supportive throughout the past year for my aunt and uncle. They provided so much assistance in so many ways: health-related, shopping, cleaning, transportation, conversation; to name just a few. This is important for people who are basically housebound, recuperating, and have limited contacts. Staff members built a relationship with my aunt and uncle and checked on or visited them (out of sheer concern) when they did not have to … and beyond their normal hours. Here is an example of their caring attitude: When my aunt was released from an emergency hospital visit during a severe, impending snowstorm; POM made sure a caregiver would be at the house, stay overnight to take care of and keep her comfortable. This was so important because myself nor hospice were able to be there. It was even more important for my uncle because it allowed him to sit beside her and hold her hand as she sadly passed away the next day. This illustrates the true meaning of “peace of mind” for family members and (your) loved ones.
