We have been taking our dogs to A Step Up for about five years for annual checkups. This year Dr. Kitchen performed dental surgery on our two dachshunds. Before the surgery the office provided us with an estimate. Bloodwork is sent out at least a week before surgery to make sure there are no issues during surgery. Shay, the surgical tech, went above and beyond for our dogs on their day of surgery. Treating them with kid gloves! She kept us informed during the surgery too! We highly recommend Dr. Kitchen, Dr. Stepusin and Shay for your dogs care.

A Step Up was my regular vet for about a decade. A year ago my sweet cat got unexpectedly sick. I was back and forth to A Step Up for about five weeks before we figured out what the problem was. Dr. Stepusin and his staff were booked solid but found the time to see her on short notice multiple times as her condition worsened. I really, truly felt like this place was there for me when I needed the comfort of a veterinarian most — and that is not something that is easy to come by.

They were with me every step of the way from finding treatment that temporarily relieved her symptoms, to comforting me when the only choice that was left was to let her go. I could not recommend their services more. They care for your pet the way any vet should, but they are also so compassionate to you as a pet owner. They’re also super transparent about costs and don’t try to sell to you. They will help educate you on your options, but never pressure. Definitely recommend them as a vet of choice!

First rate staff. Dr. Kitchen and the staff are thorough, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Will continue to go there.

I've been taking my dog to A Step Up since she was a puppy (the past 2 years) and they are always great!

All the staff are very caring and go out of their way to explain and care for your pet. They are open to questions and get back to you with answers.

Our first visit was great. I took my husky because she developed a sore on her shoulder. They cleaned her up, gave her an antibiotic. The facility is very nice and clean and so far everyone was very friendly.

I've been taking my dogs and cat here over a year. Recently my cat got very sick. One night I came home and knew it was time for my cat to be put to sleep. They got me in within an hour. They were very understanding and kind.

Doc Randolph Stepusin is excellent. He goes above and beyond to help pets and their owners especially when you have a very sick pet. We have a 13 year old Yorkie that has an enlarged heart. Doc loves each and every pet, paying very close attention to symptoms, med changes, lab results all along monitoring progress and changes. Cannot say enough about his care of our dog. He carefully explains the illness, and how we go about treating it. He explains medications and how they work to help treatment. He is simply a cut above. Lastly, his staff is responsive and reflects a similar attitude as Doc. Our dog has responded extremely well, even though he has a serious illness. We are overjoyed that Doc was able to help our pet feel much better and give our pet a normal quality of life in his latter years. This is the best place you can take your pet for vetinary services, we won't go anywhere else.

Have been awaiting documentation for over a month now. Hoping to get the attention of management to resolve this matter. Thank you

This is by and far the kindest, most capable, most professional vet I have ever taken my dogs to! Thank you all so much for the amazing job you do, and esp now thru covid.

Called office when my dog became sick and did not eat for 2 days. They had no openings and would not fit me in. I asked if they had any suggestions and were no help. Guess they just see you if everything is okay.

Everyone has always been kind, courteous and informative. They have taken great care of my dogs. I love the drive-up service instead of sitting in a room full of sick and/or anxious pets of various species and temperaments!

This is the absolute best veterinarian practice I've ever had the pleasure to visit. I've been taking my pets here for years. Dr. Stepusin and Dr. Kitchen are excellent and have impeccable bedside manner and take their time to explain everything and answer questions. Once my cat was so stressed out, Dr. Kitchen sat on the floor with me and examined my cat from a blanket where she was most comfortable. Another time, Dr. Stepusin stayed two hours past closing to try to find out what was going on with my cat who was ill. Their passion for animals is so clear and are always a pleasure to work with. Their vet tech staff is also consistently excellent! When my dog got neutered, he was crying nonstop, so when I arrived the receptionist had him curled up in a blanket and had been holding him all afternoon to comfort him

A Step Up Veterinarian Clinic has been wonderful to my two dogs and cat. The vet is always kind and thorough. They never try to push unnecessary services. They treat my animals like their own. The only aspect that is worrisome is that they will not allow me to enter the clinic with my puppy. I have to wait in my car while other clinics are allowing pet owners in their doors. My puppy is the newest member of our family and I would like to observe her care first hand. I am vaccinated and am not a health risk yet they will still not allow it.

Took my 8 week puppy there for a first visit. Staff was very friendly and I got an answer to all my concerns and questions.
I'm very happy I chose this place as my vet!

AMAZING PRACTICE - the Vets LISTEN to my concerns, assess my dogs, give me care recommendations with options and THEN HELP ME PROCESS THE INFORMATION!
I have experienced many Vet practices and unfortunately many vet hospitals over the years. I have one dog that was purchased at a Petland Store and has many chronic illnesses. This practice identified every one of those illnesses correctly and timely! The staff and Vets at this practice go out of their way to communicate extremely well - especially the Vets - who answer EVERY question I have until I understand what is happening (and I ask ALOT of questions!). They NEVER make me feel like I am wasting their time, they are incredibly professional and thorough! We are fortunate to have such experience, commitment, professionalism, and compassion so close to home!

I hear the veterinarians are great but they still are not letting the owners in with their animals. Why not? Make people wait in their car until it is their turn. Have people wear masks. The word is many businesses are liking the customers NOT coming in so the business owners deal less with the customer. Shame on you StepUp Vet! I would never bring my puppy to your business! He has severe anxiety and I would never hand him off to you. I will look for a veterinarian that is concerned about the virus BUT doesn’t use it as a way of keeping customers out of their business!

I would have given five, but they would not fit my cat in because they were booked, turned out she needed medicine thank goodness I found someone to take her. They are very nice and through when you can get in to see them.
