I am Chinese, I just graduated from this school, and now I am waiting for my driver's license. The relationship between the coaches and the students is very friendly. My English is not good, but they are still very patient to help me get my cDL license.

I'm happy I went here to get my CDL. The instructors here are awesome. Yves, Troy, and Abel make it fun. Never a dull day out in the yard. If you're in the Philly area and need your CDL this is the spot.

Troy and Vince are good instructors. However they train with a military approach and play childish games. They both will play games with your teachings if they feel like u not getting it fast enough. They will have u fighting for a position to get on the truck and train and laugh while making jokes. These two boys that's men will make u loose the desire and drive. They have there selective few. If u go to this school make sure it's not u. Find something better that will respect you, and teach u without humiliation and childish games.

I’d like to express my appreciation to the instructors of AAA. Troy, Sam, Abel and Yves these men all taught and instructed with patience and such enthusiasm that learning to operate the trucks was made easy, molding my flaws to becoming a safe and efficient driver. In addition they have all made it comfortable to communicate without hesitating to answer any questions even being asked for the hundredth time. I strongly recommend anyone eager to attending a trucking school do so through these men that give their commitment to teaching their students how to drive effortlessly and with confidence.

AAA Trucking school is a very successful institution to obtain your CDL Class A license. Let me start off with the preface addressing issued I had with the school and then follow up with the strengths of the school.

Cons:
- Few Instructors: Upon arrival of the school there was only one instructor teaching the pre-trip training, maneuvers, and no one was authorized to take students out on the road. This slowed down the capability of teaching each student what skills they lack as well as allowing students that have moved past the basics to practice their road tests. So the problem primarily was lack of instructors.

- Trucks: The trucks were pretty beaten up and it was really difficult to learn properly of the shifting of gears. Due to the age of the truck and constant beating of prior students grinding gears it made it difficult to know how a properly maintained and well taken care of truck was like to operate. Also the trailers that the trucks were being pulled were built in the early 90s. So when it comes to pre-trip inspection you have to address components that weren't visible for the test.

- Opportunities: Due to the school taking in a lot of students and having few instructors, it made it difficult for students to get ample time to have hands on practice for the vehicles. When it came to performing maneuvers you were lucky to get in the truck 2 times a day. This was because of the high volume of students and low number of trucks. Also when it came to getting on the road practice you hoped you were in the truck at least once a day. This is an issue for practice and application.

- Communication: During my time at the school I had problems with communication from the school to students. Didn't know the time I was going to take the test until the day of. Also there was a cancellation of the class due to health concerns and didn't find out when we would be able to attend the school unless you checked your email. Also, it would have been nice to be informed of the conditions at the Truck Yard. Then I would have known to bring a chair to sit while training.

- Location: The training yard is conducted outside rain or shine you're in the elements. Be prepared to sweat a lot of get cold a lot.

Pros:
- Instructors!: When AAA managed to hire new instructors for the school they were extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to ensure each student that was trying to learn the material. They made being at the yard enjoyable with not only explaining how to correct errors but also to share real life experiences they had on the road. (Troy, Sean, Tim, and Abel). Each instructor has their own way of teaching and none take it personally when you move another instructor to see a different way to learn.

- Hours: The hours from 8: 30am - 5: 00pm allowed for a full day of training and information training. So you are around trucks all day allowing students to watch others and see how to do things right and wrong.

- Training: The training that is conducted has a safe, controlled and puts the complete control of the student to move on if they have learned the skills needed to proceed forward. This allowed the student to have the motivation to learn what is necessary to move on.

- Road Course: The training on the road allowed drivers to learn how to shift not only on the highway but handle high traffic areas in the city. This allowed drivers to gain skills to handle difficult turns and high movement of other cars. The instructors ensure the driver is driving safe and compliant with the traffic laws.

Overall, the school was a success and can always be improved. Troy, Abel, Sean and Tim were fantastic instructors and made my time with the school a memorable one. Highly recommend for others in the future.

Coming here was the best decision I've made in my life so far. Abe, Bryan, and Stanford Troy Jones are all fantastic, knowledgeable instructors, and if they see you putting in the effort on your end, they will do anything they have to to get you through. I promise you, if you stick close to your instructor and do what they tell you, YOU WILL GET A CDL! And remember the two rules. 1.you can't see squat, if you ain't under your trailer. And 2. READ THE STEPS!
