Abington Hospital - Jefferson Health - Radiology Group of Abington reviews
12 I have multiple qualms about this hospital given 25 years of experience going to this hospital
1. They have given me morphine several times as a child in elementary/middle school
2. Their billing department is horrible, and continues to send threatening mail about sending you to collections despite multiple calls to point out that they have made an error.
3. The doctors there gaslight patients. My doctor told me that I didn’t have a concussion since I was probably not having internal bleeding. This is despite the immediate headaches, dizziness, confusion, nausea, and vomiting after hitting my head during a car accident.
4. Operations within the hospital are horribly disorganized, and they are bound to make mistakes. The hospital asked me to leave my hospital bed and to wait in the waiting room for several hours so that other people could use the hospital bed. They forgot to discharge me despite multiple complaints to the staff, and my doctor and nurse left. My new doctor was confused. He couldn’t find me until I started insisting someone get me a doctor to discharge rather than continuing to leave me in an unmarked area in the middle of the hallway. He stated, “I didn’t know you were my patient until just a minute ago, and I had no idea where to find you since you’re just in the hallway. ”
If I could give no stars I would. I will never ever go back there I just left there. Went in at nine for knee pain was seen at urgent care day before but still hurts bad like a tear. So I go there at 8: 30-9. Get back there at 12: 30. Doctor comes over within 15 minutes. Looks at it says we will do an ultrasound. I'm in the hallway next to the nurse station that's where my bed was. Not one person said a word like it will be a bit ask if I'm ok nothing. Well when four o clock rolls around after seeing people get xrays that came back after me I had enough. Then knew from the get go I had no insurance. So I get up from my bed right by nurses station. Proceed to leave not one of them stopped me I could see they where following me followed me all the way to area where you come in. Not one of them stopped me lipping all the way down. I'm amazed they literally watch me leave and waited till I got out to main door. Then asked if I was leaving. Well I told them I've been back there since 12: 30 nothing was said to me walking right by me. No one said hey I know it been a bit but we didn't forget. Then when I said to front desk girl oh I guess cause I don't have insurance. She said in snotty attitude no it's not. She said they only have one ultrasound tech. 3 1/2 hours later how much longer was I suppose to wait. I bet if I didn't leave I still be in bed in hallway. See the reviews now never will I go back. Feel as if I was single out for not having insurance. Better not get a doctor bill I will not pay it. Also seen in a review a couple of months ago some didn't get ultrasound cause they didn't except his insurance. Hmmm and I didn't have any and ya let me lay around for almost 4 hours and watch me and follow me down hallway and leave.
This PLACE IS OUT OF LINE CALLING PEOPLE TO THE BACK TAKING BLOOD AND PUTTING IV’s IN PEOPLE AND SENDING THE IN THE WAITING ROOM TO WAIT MORE HOURS AFTER BEING HERE FOR 6 hrs JUST TO BE ABLE TO BILL YOU INSURANCE AND YOU.
Very friendly staff in Neurology, make you feel like family.
My wife and I felt very at ease and comfortable.
I didn’t even get into the hospital. Didn’t know where to park nor did others help with information when I asked where it’s safe to park. Very confusing hospital couldn’t even figure out the parking.
The worst quick help staff don't care about your condition so rudely talking terrible I won't come back better at home
I brought my mom here to the ER, so far so good, far as for the basic treatment. But now that I’m reading the reviews, I should’ve taken her to Pennsylvania hospital.
I've been to many hospitals this simply has to be the Worst hospital on the planet. Came in for 1st Degree burn, on my hand and foot. In PAINcame in at 11Pm left at 5am, NEVER GOT SEEN they took my vitals and sat me in the waiting room without not a care in the world. I asked for a blanket, they said no, I asked for ain meds while I wait, they said no.
Do yourself a favor and keep driving, find another hospital.
I crashed my my car and I even didn’t leave your hospital. I drive perfectly! No accident for all my life. How do you think could I leave your hospital or not that moment? But your doctor said yes you can walk and go! I was dangerous for everybody that moment! And I can go?
Emergency room was the worst experience ever! Just to sum things up my lady was there and they gave her someone else’s chart. She went in for one thing and they had her confused with someone else’s paperwork. The wait was horrible even with her in pain, after clearing her they call back in to re-examine her and ask the same questions another doctor had asked. Even try to admit her in thinking she was another lady who was pregnant and assumed it was her. By far the worst experience ever
People are standing in the ED waiting to be seen. One person passed out and another in a wheelchair was just crying in pain. My child had suspected appendicitis and she never saw a provider 3 hours in waiting. I had to leave and try another hospital. For you people who have kids go to CHOP - they have satellite places.
I waited for 11 hours to get an ultra sound and then the doctor finally came and told me that they didn't accept my insurance. I was shocked that a hospital with doctors getting paid so much money was so poorly managed. Don't go here. I have had better experience in hospitals in philly than this place.
