This office never answers the phone. I was a former patient and called three times for an appointment, left a message all three times, and never received a call back. I called Grandview Ob/gyn and someone picked up the phone on the first call.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Insensitive and no empathy for women who Are pregnant and need compassion from their health providers. The attitude I recieved from one of their nurses on the phone was very upsetting. When I called back to speak to the manager, she unfortunately was just as rude. I would not recommend this specific office!

I have been going here for over 12 years, the service has declined though, wait times are awful, they are sometimes rude on the phone.

I've been a patient at this practice over 30+ years. While my original doctors have since retired, I've always had excellent care from the younger doctors in the practice, as well. I like seeing more women doctors and nurse practitioners in women's healthcare!

I’m an older woman and I guess I don’t matter anymore since I’m not having babies. I called several times and left messages and got no call back. The administrative people are terrible at this practice. Thanks for making me feel like a nonentity. I’ve switched to a practice that gives me the time of day now.

The front desk ladies are absolutely horrible and provide no help when you call. You are either put on hold or transferred to a "nurse" who then is never there and you are directed to a mailbox. After you leave a message on their mailbox they don't call you back until hours later. When they finally called me back I was not near my phone because I hold a full time job. I called back no more than 15 minutes later and my call was of course answered by another awful front desk lady who then could care less about my situation. She then transferred me to a "nurse" who of course was not there and I was directed to a mailbox to leave yet another voicemail. This continued to happen for about 10 hours of playing phone tag with these awful receptionist ladies who could care less about helping anyone out. I think they actually enjoy putting people on hold.

In the end I was told that if my symptoms continue to happen for another 3 months to then make an appointment.thanks for absolutely no help with my concern! I remember when nurses helped people, not just redirected them for another 3 months.

While I'm not always thrilled with how the front desk handles things, I never wait very long in the waiting room. P. A. Liza Steele was very helpful with the replacement of my IUD.

This afternoon I was greeted with a very unprofessional representative (Linda). She asked I guess my schedule (I was currently busy and not at home due to being called back 3 hours after my original call). I then requested to schedule an annual and she argued that it needed to be a different time but they didn't have their schedule out for that month. I was then placed on hold for 5 minutes as I said "hello" or requested a response. I have never been treated with such disrespect. Wish I could schedule online so I didn't get treated this way.

I love Dr. Sih, Dr. Mahlab, Dr. Warsetsky, Dr. Roberts, and Liza! They are all so supportive and warm. Dr. Mahlab delivered my first two babies and is the absolute most down to earth, straightforward, and comforting doctor. Since bringing my PPD concerns to them, they've been concerned, realistic, reassuring, and never alarmist. I haven't had issues with "how" I want to deliver and I'm sure they'd be open to working with you on med/no med delivery, gentle cesarean, etc. I'm expecting our 3rd and love that the nurses are so sweet and recognize me at the office. Everyone is beyond gentle and professional. Only dropping a star because I didn't feel super warm and fuzzy about a few other doctors who had long wait times and just generally didn't feel as friendly. Nothing personal! Probably just a matter of clicking better with some and not with others. I know others who adore the doctors I didn't mention! So go see for yourself:)

I first chose Abington OBGYN because I had heard that Abington was one of the best hospitals for maternity care. In my first trimester, after doing extensive research on labor & delivery, I decided that I wanted to have a natural intervention-free birth (no IV or epidural). When I informed the doctors at Abington OB of my wishes, I was LAUGHED AT. I told them I did not want to be offered an epidural, that I would ask for one if I needed it, and they basically responded, "too bad, we're offering the epidural either way. You have no choice, we're going to offer it". I was floored. They also laughed at me when I told them I intended to write a Birth Wishlist, and told me that it was pointless to write a birth plan.

Every woman has the right to make her own decisions about her birth wishes. If you want a very medicalized birth, and if you prefer to be uninformed and completely give yourself over to the care of your doctors, then Abington OBGYN is the place for you. However, if you want to be empowered and have a say in your prenatal care and birth, I suggest going elsewhere.

I left Abington OBGYN in my 2nd trimester and transfered to the Midwifery practice at Pennsylvania Hospital. I had my baby 100% naturally, as I had wanted, and received support and positive reinforcement from the staff there. My Birth Wishlist was well received and followed when possible. I delivered my baby myself, rather than have an OB deliver my baby, as is the philosophy at Abington.

I am absolutely positive that had I stayed with Abington, I would have had a terrible birth experience and felt completely out of control of my situation during labor & delivery. A natural birth is not for everyone, but if you are considering it, DO NOT place your care in the hands of Abington OBGYN!

I love them! Been going to this office since I was 16. Never an issue getting appointments or perscripition refills & they have been great during my pregnancy.

Once, when I was the first appointment of the day, I had to wait 45 minutes because the doctor was late. When she got in, I heard her tell the nurses she was lay because she was so rivited by the today show that she couldn't leave home.

If you are looking for more of a natural (no pain medication or intervention) labor and delivery I don't believe this is the best place to go. I went here over 4 years ago with my first. My prenatal care seemed fine, no one actually asked me about my birth plan. The wait times were long at times and they seemed super busy, but I expected that. I brought up my birth plan once and they said something along the lines of let's just see what happens. Fast forward I was almost 2 week late and had to be induced. I had cervadil and pitocin. My birth was virtually pain free before my water broke at 7cm. It was a very slow long induction though and once I hit about 5cm the hospital kept on asking if I wanted an epidural. I said no and they hounded me every 15 minutes until about 8cm aka a few hourssss! The hospital they are affiliated with was rude and laughed at the fact that I wanted a more natural birth. After 35 hours it was time for pushing, but my doctor was doing a csection so they told me just to relax and wait. Every 15-20 min I would buzz the nurse in to see what was going good on with the doctor and kept on being told she was busy. After over an hour at 10cm and no epidural I pushed on my own. The nurses ran in after my husband buzzed them because the baby was crowning. They would not let me push until the doctor arrived. The doctor came strolling in maybe 10 minutes later like she just woke up from a nap and made some rude sarcastic comment to me that I was supposed to find humorous, but didn't. Her gloves weren't even on when the baby just flew out like Superman. For real, I didn't knew that could happen, especially since I wasn't pushing! Unfortunately the birth was unassisted it caused a lot of tearing. She only notated 1 stitch on my chart, but I felt them all and knew better. After she stitched me up I asked why she didn't numb me and she said she assumed I had an epidural. She never apologize. She mentioned my labias had some minor tearing (never explained how to properly care for them) and said they would heal on there own. Fast forward 4 weeks later I called saying I was still having discomfort and other weird issues and they told me it was normal and took 6 weeks to heal and to just wait for my 6 week follow up. At my 6 week check up, I was still in pain and peeing weird (like a boy). Come to find out my labias healed/fused TOGETHER! Yes, you heard right, together. I only had a tiny opening on the top where my pee came out of. She had to cut me open right there. I asked for her to numb me and she said it would be super quick and barely hurt. She said it would take too long to get the numbing meds and the needle would hurt more than the cut. Boy was she wrong, it hurt horribly! Then she stitched up each side, made a sarcastic comment that I was supposed to find humorous (and once again didn't) and left the room. I didn't even get care instructions. I got up to find blood everywhere and I was shocked. I felt like I had given birth all over again. When I was leaving I asked the front desk how long they extended my maternity leave they weren't sure and called the doctor. She wasn't going to extend it. I made a scene and got an extra week. She acted like she was doing me a favor and seemed annoyed. I posted this at least twice before and it keeps on getting erased. I don't like bashing places, but this was ridiculous. I had my second son by a midwife intervention free and virtually painless with no pain medication (even though I was induced again). Sorry, but I would not recommend this practice. Let's see how long this review lasts.

I am telling the truth and nothing but the truth! This practice may be great for some people, but NOT for me.
