Ace Hdwe of State College

My older jeep would often not start and was shutting off unexpectedly. I was told the ignition key was bad. I checked with the dealer and their price was nearly $100 more than Ace's price. I was also lucky enough to get Benjamin Rudnik, the Asst. Mgr, who not only programmed a new key fob for me but using a diagram, located and replaced the one tiny fuse out of twenty that had burned out and was causing the problem.

Robert was extremely helpful. Had a quick little project to get done and he helped me figure out exactly what type of screwdriver I needed. Everything was great, give him a raise.

It is very rewarding to shop where all employees are knowledgeable and enjoy what they are doing. Selection is extensive as well

This is the only retail store that I have always left in a better mood than I went in, which is weird to say about a hardware store, but the staff are so friendly, helpful, and approachable, have always offered any relevant advice or just pleasant atmosphere. 10/10 would always purchase any home/hardware needs from this store.

Helpful staff can suggest alternatives if needed. Really good selection of a wide range of supplies for home, garage, and garden. Close, free parking.

Don’t bother going to this hardware store. The associates are extremely rude and do not care for your business. The store associate dictate their own policies and decide if they want to sell you something or not. Lowes or Home Depot of state college are much better places to shop and you will save more money because Ace is way overpriced.

I love the local flavor of the store and their prices are usually competitive with online and big box stores. The staff is always willing to help and can quickly point you to what you're looking for. I would much rather go here and support my local hardware store than wander around lost in a big box store

Too high priced.but it is State College. Required masks which have long been gone.they follow you around like your going to pocket there stuff asking if they can help you every five minutes.

Not truly open until 6. If you need to buy a plunger at 5: 55 pm, they'll turn you away.

Excellent customer service! This is my "go to" store.forget the big box stores like Lowe's and Home Depot.

They usually have what I need but I did not have a good experience this last time. Definitely do not bring your kids here, my toddler rolling a red wagon 10 feet was treated like he broke something.

Great store! Saves time and fuel compared to driving to Lowe’s/HD. The prices are about the same for the items I’ve looked at.

Was very disappointed that vaccinated people are still asked to were a mask in the store, i can go anywhere else in this town mask free. Will be spreading the word and taking my business elsewhere, the business i'm in i speak to 200-300 people weekly, bravo ACE

Awesome place.staff is excellent.very helpful and happy. I shop there all the time.got a Weber grill. And they had it together and deliverd next day.

Great local hardware store! Staff is helpful. They really have just about everything you would need. Also alot easier than searching through a big box store!

Had the same experience as Rob with the staff and masks. Had no issue with Milesburg location. Will not spend another dime in the state college store.

Recently shopped here for some hardware items, having been a customer for a long time, Myself I wore a mask, my son because of health reasons couldn't wear a mask, he was confronted my a young snotty brat of a clerk arguing with him about not wearing a mask, without a chance to explain himself, this ignorant clerk berated my son, finally we had enough of this confrontation we walked out, never going back because of the way we were treated, Grant you lost a long time customer
