ACME Markets reviews
24I'd look elsewhere. The prices are usually above average, the layout and locations of all the items doesn't seem to make logical sense. The self checkout is a disaster. God forbid you have enough items to fill more than 3 bags. You're going to double your checkout time while the machine yells at you for removing bags which there is no room for.
Been going to acme for many years but they are still clinging to the mask requirement, so for now at least I will go to giant instead
I like acme market at 5 points they are clean. But shoprite is my go to market they are cheaper.
As a person who is disabled it was difficult to find things. They have dedicated the center aisles for liquor. Did not have the strength to go past it to dairy on the other side of the store. The produce used to be fresh. Only a few bags of celery all wilted. Produce scattered. Had not been there since the pandemic started. It was clean and did have 3 check out lanes.
I have been shopping at this Acme for years now. Yes, sometimes they are under staffed but what company isn’t these days. Today and many other days but especially today- the team went above and beyond my expectations! Thank you for your high customer service expectations!
A normal medium supermarket, very clean with a wide variety of products, but why are the bathrooms only for one person?
Bought 100.00 worth of crab legs and we all got sick. Called to tell manager and his response was oh ok. I worked at a near by store for over 15 years. We woukd offered something. I will never stop there again.
I don't normally go here because it's not convenient but I received a fliar in my newspaper and I'm glad that, I went! The meat was way cheaper than shoprite and the store associates were all friendly. I'll definitely return again.
Been here many times. Today was a mess. Unmarked regular price items on the clearance rack is the normal way. Today the customer service desk was unable to spek very rude
Acme has certain products I can't seem to find in other places. I do find most of their products over priced. If you shop off the ad, you can make out ok.
Very clean, organized store. Aisles are well marked. For the most part the staff is friendly and helpful. Parking lot is huge. Extremely convenient for me to shop since it's within walking distance. Has decent sales especially on meats. But if something isn't on sale it's expensive. Wish they had more whole wheat options when it comes to breads and pastas.
This is a nice ACME and not overly-busy. It's well organixed, clean and the staff are friendly.
They have pretty much anything you'd need.everything was neat and organized.the cashier was very friendly and helped us with the self check out and made small talk with us about a band shirt I had on.we were able to find what we needed for a quick shopping trip and get rung up and get home quickly and easily.
Quite a few of the yogurts were expired for 1 week. Not a good selection of the ice creams that were on sale.
Friendly associates, in store ATM and banking center, clean and well organized. Moderately prices.
Usually my place for deli items, but when the deli employee is dropping the chicken on the counter and still packaging it.that's nasty. Dropped several pieces and didn't even bother to wipe the counter.
About a year ago, I purchased a bag of Gevalia Coffee, on sale, at this store. When I got home I went to use it and noticed that the bag had an expriation date that was almost two years old. I wrote the Acme parent company, never received a response, and also wrote Gevalia. They sent me coupons. We stayed away about six mos.and decided to go back again around the holidays, due to convenience. It's Superbowl Sunday 2018. We just bought frozen pizzas, and some turkey peperoni. One of the frozen pizzas has an expiration of 11/24/2017, the Peperoni, which was on a stand in the dairy aisle, has a "freeze or use by date" of 1/18 (It is 2/4) and one of the other pizzas (Amy' s brand), which was in the end cap of frozen Gluten Free food, has wheat in it. (It was stocked that way, there were at least five more behind it in the freezer).
I am so sorry to say we are DONE shopping at this store now; for good. They simply do not care enough to check their stock. I shouldn't have to check everything I put in my cart for an expiration. I don't have these issues at any of the other area stores when I shop.
Its basically a trust issue. I want to walk into a store and know I can trust they care about my general welfare.
Prices are 30% higher than all other stores! Glade $1.00 Walmart, Target $1.19 Acme $1.49. Just an example.
If I could give it a 0 that would be what it is. The store manager is a very RUDE and INCONSIDERATE B. RD! First of all the store is very poorly managed (duh) and the employees don't know anything about dealing with customers at all.
I bought a Prime Rib roast a week and a half ago when they were on sale and went back to try & get the bones cut off & tied to the roast for the recipe I'm making on christmas and guess what? The meat guy didn't know how or if they could do it and put me on hold 2wice finally putting the so-called manager on the phone who told me that if I didn't have the receipt they wouldn't do it. I took it to GIANT and they gave me no problem cutting & tying the bones on the Prime Rib. If you're any kind of good shopper do NOT shop at this ACME on New Falls Rd.in Levittown for you will find out one way or another how their junk of produce is as well as many OUTDATED items on shelves & dirty unclean conditions not fit for any food produce.
GO TO GIANT OR ELSEWHERE
It has very good foods But one Negative is you have to put a quarter in the cart to unlock it then when leaving to get you quarter back you have to remember to return the cart to the back and lock it, that is bad because there is no cart pusher job possings but could be way better without the quarter thing
