When my husband and I were in the vendor selection process, I was going crazy. The options were insane and the amount of research needed was overwhelming. But I can confidently say that we did not look at a single photographer outside of Adam Michaels Photography. My husband has known Adam since college and literally told me that research for this category wasn’t even necessary – he already knew the name of the best photographer in Pittsburgh.

I emailed primarily with Jade, Adam’s sister, to coordinate our engagement photos and work through initial timeline needs (among other admin work) and Jade is incredibly responsive and super organized. She kept us on track the entire time, even on our big day.

When Adam jumped in to review the details of our timeline closer to our wedding day, I could immediately tell that Adam is the type to take charge and make sure that every special photo is captured and the entire day runs as planned. I provided Adam with a minimal list of photos that I absolutely needed, and most of them were just combinations of family members. Together with Jade, the two of them took complete control of the creative process and we could not be more thrilled with the photos that we have. We have shared them as many times and with as many people as possible. Outside of the quality of our photos, Jade & Adam were on time and were so integrated & engaged throughout our entire day. Adam Michaels Photography is worth every penny!

I don't even know where to start, as it was one of the greatest photo session I've ever had and I had million of them across the world for clients, because of the nature of my work. But first things first, all communication was extremely pleasant and professional, each detail was thoughtfully organized and Adam's assistant made it as easy as you can only dream about. Adam itself just a magician, as all family members of my husbands family are super shy and not a photo or insta oriented ppl, but somehow he made everyone almost dance and deliver the best smiles, etc. Not to mention that one of the family members was 10 month old, but its no single photo during 1,5 hour photoshoot without a smile. And yes, I have more, he did a few shots behind the scenes prep, which are also unimaginably great, which makes me 1000% sure, that he is a true artist, who does what he loves and so result is a perfect memory for all. Will def come back to him next time we are in PA or even ask him to come to NY, as he def worth to accommodate even his traveling to different destinations.

Adam Michaels Photography is the BEST! They are so reasonable on pricing compared to other photographers in the Pittsburgh area that ask for outrageous amounts of $$$. Not only is Adam Michaels affordable but the pictures and service we received was top tier! Another thing to note is that our engagement photos were complimentary (some photographers charge for these!). The pictures they produce are so crisp and bright but yet still very artsy. I wanted high quality timeless photos that weren’t overly edited / overly grainy / overly dark & moody but still have an artistic touch and they provide exactly that.
Throughout the entire process Jade was truly a pro. For engagement photos she knows exactly how to pose you (in case you aren’t comfortable doing that yourselves) and guides you through every step of the session. (Or if you are comfortable and posing already she will tell you it looks good or to move your face this way, move your hand that way, etc). She squeezed in two locations for us because we wanted some at Hartwood Acres in some city ones at The Point.
For our wedding day, she blew us all away. She was able to capture so many special moments while we barely realized she was even there, she took absolute control when we needed group pictures taken at the reception - corralling people and yelling instructions so we could get them taken as quickly as possible. She also would capture candids (something I really wanted), but then also ask us to stop and pose for a second for moments like the cake cutting for example. I really like that we had both candids and posed pictures (in case candids didn’t turn out).
Jade worked with us up until the wedding day and worked with our vendors and coordinator to create a complete photo timeline of the day. This really helped us feel comfortable that that day would go smoothly and allowed us to factor in different options for photo locations and photo opportunities ahead of time. The wedding day was very relaxed because she kept us on time, told us how many minutes we had left at locations, and stuck to the timeline so that we didn’t have to worry about it.
The day after the wedding we had hundreds (not 50 or 100 I’m talking like 400) sneak peak photos already edited and downloaded for our viewing. It was awesome to have a TON of beautiful photos to go through with family the next day to re-live the previous night.
Then - a short 2 months later we received all of the pictures and were and still are OBSESSED with them! If you were thinking about booking Adam Michaels Photography - just do it! You will NOT regret it.

Adam took my son’s senior pictures and was a joy to work with. We got so many great pictures! He was so patient which is invaluable, and he put up with our large, energetic dog, working to get him into the photos. Adam has a nice personality. He played music, joked around and really helped my son relax and have fun with being photographed.
We wanted city backdrops, but didn’t
have any ideas that were too specific. Adam had so many great location ideas that he fit into the time we had available because he knows his way around the city. The goal was getting the photos but ultimately he helped us create a great memory.

Adam was the best photographer we didn’t know we needed for our wedding. We went into the wedding planning process looking for a photographer that had great photos and Adam immediately stood out to us. We were unaware of the considerations we needed to pay attention to in selecting our wedding photographer and Adam walked us through what to expect, the purpose of an engagement shoot, print rights, and how to start thinking about our timeline. We did an engagement shoot with Adam and he taught us poses we could use for our wedding photos and recommended locations for great photos. We got our engagement photos back quickly and were able to use them for our wedding invitations. On the wedding day Adam and Jade were great at leading our large wedding party and family to make sure we got all the photos we wanted and kept on schedule. Adam was familiar with our venue and had some great ideas for photo locations. We booked him for unlimited time and were so glad we did because we got some great photos outside in the dark and have lots of photos of our guests having a great time which we wouldn’t have gotten if we didn’t book him for the whole night. He got back our photos to us as expected, he first sent some highlights for us to see and later sent the remaining edited photos to us. He gave us all photos in edited in color and black and white.

We absolutely love Jade! Our photographer was actually the first thing we booked, after researching and falling in love with the style of Adam Michaels photo. We are so glad that we did, and it was awesome to have Jade there all day and beautifully capture the day from start to finish. As someone who struggled taking directions and posing for photos, Jade also did a great job of correcting my positioning and reminding me to keep my chin down. The photos look incredible and we are so happy to have these to relive the memories of the big day!
Jade was very professional and all of the parents and grandparents liked her too She also captured great pictures of an overwhelmed dog and an uncooperative toddler ring bearers!

Jade's communication leading up to the wedding was frequent, timely and very helpful. She put us at ease during the day with her fun personality and got along great with our videographer. Jade and Adam showed great attention to detail and didn't miss a single moment of the day. We received a TON of sneak peak pictures just days after our wedding.ahead of when we expected them. And they were, put simply, AMAZING! A great mix of candid and posed photos, both stylish and classic, and the utmost quality. Half of the people we've shown have told us they look like photos out of a wedding magazine! We love every single one of them, more than I could've expected.

Jade did a family shoot for me with my two children (aged 3 and 6). I cannot say enough positive things about her! She put my kids at ease and made everything so easy. We had Adam take our engagement photos in October and thoroughly enjoyed our experience working with him. We absolutely recommend him for your shoot!

Before settling on a photographer, we had a phone call with Adam and exchanged a few emails; we found him to be very responsive, he took the time to explain the entire process to us, and also helped us decide on our shoot locations. We decided to move forward with him as a result.

On the day of the shoot, Adam created a comfortable atmosphere, bringing music to the shoot and guided us through the session. My partner and I are both a bit camera shy, so this helped us relax and allowed us to be ourselves in front of the camera. He provided direction to help us pose, and also created scenarios to capture more candid shots. Adam was also well-prepared, bringing props for us to use and an umbrella for the fall rain.

We received our photos almost exactly one month later, and are absolutely thrilled with the results! The quality of the photos are outstanding (well shot, great lighting, great use of depth of field) ; it is clear that Adam is extremely talented, and we could not be happier with our photos.

Adam and his team truly exceeded our expectations. During the engagement photo session, Adam created an atmosphere that made us feel at ease, allowing us to enjoy the process and have some fun while capturing beautiful moments.

The wedding day was nothing short of spectacular. Adam and Jade orchestrated the bridal party photos with precision, taking charge when necessary and demonstrating impeccable preparation. Throughout the event, it felt like they were everywhere, capturing every significant moment. They both stayed for our entire reception which blew out guests away as many of them told us they had never seen that before! Their ability to engage with our guests added an extra layer of magic to the entire experience.

When we received the photos, we were blown away. They managed to capture moments we hadn't even realized occurred, preserving all the essential emotions and memories of the day and into the evening. The photos are not only stunning but have also received enthusiastic praise from everyone we've shared them with. Jade was amazing! Jade helped us loosen up and get some amazing photos of my partner and I's elopement. She was patient, knew what poses to put us in, and knew some great locations for us to shoot at. The resulting photos were fantastic! Adam is a fantastic photographer. The quality of his photos are technically sound and artistically executed. Adam and his team were wonderful at communicating, flexible, easy to talk to, and timely. Adam was one of the first recommendations we received from our wedding planner, and after checking out some of his work and reviews, it was easy to see why.

Besides being extremely responsive and easy to work with, Adam excelled at providing guidance for shots while remaining laid back, keeping us stress free throughout our engagement shoot and wedding day. We had a few particular photos in mind, and he understood our vision, capturing all of them better than we could’ve imagined, but we trusted in his experience for most of our posed shots and that made things very easy on us. One specific note on Adam as a professional- he truly wants you to get great photos that you’ll be proud of. The day before our wedding, after our entire timeline had been planned, our neighbors presented us a photo op that we didn’t want to turn down. Adam quickly provided our planner with a way to make it happen without taking away from anything else in our schedule.

We ultimately chose Adam to be our photographer because we thought his photos in natural light were outstanding, and we wanted to remember our wedding day as it was. He exceeded our high expectations- capturing moments that otherwise might’ve been forgotten and providing us with an insane number of photos. Bonus points for being a blast to work with. Don’t second guess it. Hire Adam immediately if he’s available for your wedding.

We had a great experience with Adam Micheals Photography for a Senior photo session. The pictures are fantastic! Adam was awesome to work with and made our daughter feel relaxed and at ease in front of the camera. No easy feat. We were unable to get pictures at one of our chosen locations because of construction (typical Pittsburgh issue) When the construction was done Adam scheduled an additional photo session to get the shots we wanted. We SO recommend Adam Michaels photography!
