Judgemental Christians who try and control you and your kids the moment u get in there. Plus they are constantly adding new rules as you live there. And they hate loud kids.

It seems good and the people seem warm and caring at first. But be prepared to only stay a few months at most. Even though they say a year. A few make it longer but if your situation turns out differently in any way than expected, you will find yourself on the street with little or no warning. I have seen them turn a woman and child onto the street literally and shut the door behind them with no concrete reason. And when the door is shut, you are locked out. The mother and daughter running it pose as Christians, and i dont want to judge but i have been shocked at some of the things that are done and said there in the name of Christianity. So be ware. I have seen nearly everyone that was there in the 5 months i was get kicked out or nearly kicked out over a simple mistake or even over a difference in opinion. I believe it is a good work and i dont believe the donors or others than those that actually live there, know what actually happens within those wall. So while it is ok for a little bit, prepare yourself for a rocky ending. Also look for another option ASAP because you may have less than 24 hrs warning before you are put on the street. Someone needs to look into the way this shelter is being run. Please hear my cry. I dont want other women to be hurt the way i, and many others, have been. Tread with extreme caution and dont trust too quickly. They will bite you in the back when you least expect it.
